The posting

Neways NEXT is the business unit of Neways Electronics where innovation, complex high-tech electronics, and mission-critical assemblies come together. Across our locations in Son and Breugel and Echt, more than 200 specialists develop and manufacture advanced electronic modules and systems for leading customers in the semiconductor, defence, and mobility industries, helping shape the technologies of tomorrow. Our Echt site specialises in advanced microelectronics.

At our Echt location, you will benefit from short communication lines, a high level of responsibility, and plenty of opportunities to further develop both our processes and yourself. Do you want to apply your quality expertise in an environment where technology, innovation, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do? Explore Neways in life-changing technology together.

This is how you make impact

As a Production Quality Engineer, you are responsible for safeguarding and continuously improving product quality throughout our manufacturing processes. You analyse quality deviations, identify process disturbances, and initiate improvement actions that contribute to a stable, efficient, and high-quality production process.

When quality issues arise, you take ownership by identifying the root cause and implementing effective corrective actions. Thanks to the short production lead times, you are able to respond quickly, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure sustainable improvements are implemented. You are responsible for handling both customer- and supplier-related quality issues and play an active role in further strengthening our quality organisation.

You work closely with colleagues from Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Customer Quality, Purchasing, and Quality Inspection to continuously improve processes and further enhance product quality. In this role, you are also a member of the Manufacturing Performance Team (MPT).

In addition to your quality responsibilities, you will also serve as the Prevention Officer for the Echt location. In this role, you actively contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.

This is what we offer you

We offer a challenging role in a dynamic, professional, and high-tech manufacturing environment where your ideas, initiative, and expertise are truly valued.

You will become part of a driven and collaborative team that offers plenty of room for personal responsibility, continuous improvement, and professional development.

Thanks to the compact organisation in Echt, you will enjoy short communication lines, a high level of responsibility, and significant autonomy. If you are ambitious, there are excellent opportunities to grow within Neways, for example towards the role of Supplier Quality Engineer or another specialist or leadership position.

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer attractive secondary benefits, such as:

  • 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days;
  • Flexible working hours;
  • Training and development opportunities through our extensive e-learning platform;
  • An attractive bicycle plan;
  • Pension scheme, holiday allowance, and travel reimbursement.

This is what you bring to our team

You are a quality professional who works independently, takes ownership, and enjoys driving improvements. You like to be visible on the production floor, know how to engage colleagues in quality initiatives, and easily switch between operational and improvement activities.

You thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment where flexibility, short lead times, and a broad product portfolio require you to make well-founded decisions quickly. Thanks to your analytical mindset and pragmatic approach, you identify root causes efficiently and translate them into sustainable improvements.

Additionally, you bring:

  • An MBO degree or equivalent working and thinking level, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another technical discipline. Graduates with a relevant technical education are also encouraged to apply;
  • Experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment is a strong advantage;
  • Affinity with electronics and/or mechanical manufacturing;
  • Knowledge of quality methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, and Lean;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office;
  • A proactive, independent, structured, and solution-oriented mindset;
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams;
  • Good command of Dutch and English.

Your team

Your home base will be our Echt location, where you become part of a close-knit team of approximately 35 colleagues. You will work closely with the local Quality Inspector and Manufacturing team while also being part of the wider Neways NEXT Quality organisation, collaborating with Customer Quality Engineers, Supplier Quality Engineers, Production Quality Engineers, and Quality Inspectors across multiple locations.

Thanks to the close cooperation between the Echt and Son sites, you will always have experienced colleagues to exchange knowledge with and a strong quality network to support you.

Your daily responsibilities include

In this role, you are the link between Quality and Manufacturing and work closely with operators, engineers, inspectors, and other quality professionals. You report directly to the Manager Engineering.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

  • Developing, implementing, and continuously improving production quality control methods;
  • Performing quality inspections, including cleanroom inspections, in accordance with applicable standards and procedures;
  • Analysing product and process quality data and preparing management reports on quality performance;
  • Handling customer and supplier complaints and leading structured root cause analyses using methodologies such as 8D;
  • Initiating, coordinating, and following up continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing the cost of non-quality;
  • Supporting incoming inspection activities whenever operational priorities require;
  • Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) by ensuring quality requirements are embedded within new production processes;
  • Identifying improvement opportunities and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing organisation;
  • Acting as Prevention Officer and contributing to a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
