This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an SAP/SuccessFactors Payroll/Time Tracking Consultant based in the United States.

Join a dynamic, technology-driven environment where you will help organizations optimize their payroll and workforce management processes through SAP SuccessFactors solutions. As an SAP/SuccessFactors Payroll/Time Tracking Consultant, you will lead functional configuration activities, translate business requirements into effective system solutions, and support successful client implementations. You will work closely with HR, payroll, benefits, and IT stakeholders to streamline payroll processing, time tracking, attendance, and absence management. Your expertise will contribute to accurate payroll calculations, reliable system integrations, and improved operational efficiency. This hands-on consulting role offers opportunities to troubleshoot complex challenges, support system enhancements, and implement industry best practices. Fully remote, the position is ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys solving problems, collaborating with clients, and delivering impactful HR technology solutions.

Accountabilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to payroll processing, time management, attendance, and absence tracking, translating them into functional system specifications.
  • Configure, implement, and maintain SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and Time Tracking solutions in alignment with client requirements and business objectives.
  • Set up and manage work schedules, holiday calendars, time recording profiles, time valuations, and absence types to support effective workforce management.
  • Support payroll configuration and processing, including wage types, payroll calculations, retroactive processing, payroll validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve configuration issues affecting payroll, time tracking, and related business processes.
  • Plan and execute system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), including the preparation of test scripts and the resolution of identified defects.
  • Perform data validation, payroll reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of system outputs.
  • Collaborate with HR, payroll, benefits, IT, and project teams to coordinate implementation activities and ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Support integrations between SAP SuccessFactors and third-party payroll, timekeeping, ERP, and other enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain functional specifications, configuration documentation, test scripts, and other project deliverables.
  • Provide ongoing production support, investigate user-reported issues, and deliver timely resolutions to maintain system stability.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend SAP SuccessFactors best practices to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Support system upgrades, product releases, and enhancement projects while ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable payroll-related regulatory requirements.
  • At least five years of experience working with SAP SuccessFactors, including hands-on expertise in Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and/or Time Tracking.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring payroll and time management solutions within the SAP SuccessFactors ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing, timekeeping, attendance, absence management, and workforce management processes.
  • Proven ability to gather business requirements, analyze operational needs, and translate them into scalable functional solutions.
  • Experience supporting system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, troubleshooting, data validation, and production support.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex functional issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work effectively with technical teams and business users.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project deliverables in a remote working environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Preferred qualifications: SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Time Tracking, or Employee Central Payroll certifications; experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI) or other integration tools; and a background in consulting or client-facing implementation projects.
  • Additional preferred experience includes global payroll or multi-country implementations, knowledge of Employee Central and Time Off modules, integration experience with SAP HCM or SAP S/4HANA, and familiarity with Agile project environments.
  • Competitive salary: Annual compensation ranging from $150,000 to $170,000, depending on experience, education, and location.
