The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a UKG Solutions Architect based in the United States.

Join a technology consulting environment where you will shape and deliver innovative workforce management solutions for clients across diverse industries. As a UKG Solutions Architect, you will leverage your deep expertise in UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM) to lead complex implementations, design scalable solutions, and promote industry best practices. You will work closely with client stakeholders to understand business needs, facilitate requirements workshops, and translate operational challenges into effective technical strategies. In this leadership role, you will oversee project teams, guide solution design, manage delivery risks, and ensure high-quality outcomes within established timelines. You will also mentor colleagues, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to the growth of workforce management consulting capabilities. This mostly remote opportunity offers the chance to combine technical excellence, strategic thinking, and client-facing leadership while driving meaningful business transformation.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of complex UKG Pro Workforce Management solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with client business objectives.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of workforce management technologies and UKG Pro WFM implementation methodologies to guide clients toward effective, sustainable solutions.
  • Facilitate client-facing requirements workshops and consult with stakeholders on workforce management best practices, business process improvements, and solution optimization.
  • Oversee project teams by defining project-specific goals, establishing implementation plans, and ensuring high-quality deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate delivery risks, coordinate resources, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding milestones, challenges, and expected outcomes.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with client management, serving as a trusted advisor throughout requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Lead business process design and enhancement initiatives, ensuring proposed solutions address operational needs and support effective workforce management practices.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance on UKG integrations, reporting capabilities, and the broader workforce management ecosystem.
  • Mentor team members through constructive feedback, on-the-job training, knowledge sharing, and professional development support.
  • Foster an innovative, collaborative, and results-oriented team environment while supporting the development of consulting talent and delivery capabilities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of UKG technologies, product developments, implementation methodologies, and emerging workforce management trends.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of workforce management consulting services by identifying opportunities, promoting best practices, and supporting the development of new client relationships.
  • Approximately 10 or more years of consulting experience, with a strong background in workforce management solutions and client-facing technology projects.
  • Seven to ten years of hands-on UKG Pro Workforce Management implementation experience, including solution architecture, configuration, and project delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a related discipline.
  • Required certification: UKG Pro Workforce Management certification.
  • Additional UKG certifications, particularly in Timekeeping, Advanced Scheduling, or related modules, are preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading business process design, optimization, and enhancement initiatives within complex workforce management environments.
  • Proven ability to lead client discussions and workshops covering requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and implementation planning.
  • Strong knowledge of UKG integrations and reporting capabilities, with the ability to design solutions that support effective data exchange and business intelligence.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end implementation lifecycle, from initial discovery and requirements analysis through deployment and ongoing optimization.
  • Solid understanding of HR, payroll, benefits, timekeeping, scheduling, and workforce management processes, including the relationships between these functions.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, including the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities, mitigate risks, and deliver against deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, consulting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, with an interest in developing consulting capabilities, identifying growth opportunities, and contributing to the expansion of workforce management services.
  • Ability to work primarily remotely and travel occasionally to Chicago, Illinois, or other client locations as required.
  • Competitive salary: Annual base salary ranging from $130,000 to $150,000, depending on experience, education, and geographic location.
  • Paid time off: Leave to support personal needs, rest, and work-life balance.
  • Medical insurance: Health coverage to support employee well-being.
  • Dental plan: Coverage for dental care and preventive services.
  • Vision plan: Benefits for vision care and related services.
  • Life insurance: Financial protection through life insurance coverage.
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance (STD/LTD): Coverage to support employees in the event of qualifying disabilities.
  • Paid holidays: Designated paid holidays throughout the year.
  • Remote work flexibility: Primarily remote working arrangements, with occasional travel for client engagements or internal meetings.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
