The posting

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Strategic Sourcing Analyst with experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management, particularly within software and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) categories.

In this role, you will support sourcing strategies, analyze spending patterns, evaluate software vendors, negotiate commercial terms, and manage procurement activities throughout the sourcing lifecycle. You will work closely with IT, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to optimize costs, ensure supplier compliance, manage vendor risks, and maximize the value of software investments.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and an understanding of SaaS contracts, renewals, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives for software, SaaS subscriptions, and technology-related services.
  • Conduct spend analysis, cost modeling, pricing comparisons, and market research to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Research and benchmark SaaS vendors, pricing models, licensing structures, and market trends.
  • Manage Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Information (RFI) processes, including vendor evaluation and selection.
  • Evaluate vendors based on pricing, service quality, security, compliance, integration capabilities, and overall business value.
  • Support SaaS contract negotiations, including pricing, service-level agreements (SLAs), renewal terms, and other commercial conditions.
  • Monitor SaaS renewal cycles, subscription utilization, licensing requirements, and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Review supplier contracts and identify potential commercial, operational, data, and compliance risks.
  • Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and service expectations.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to align sourcing decisions with organizational requirements.
  • Prepare procurement reports, spend dashboards, vendor assessments, and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate sourcing documentation and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and business priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or vendor management, preferably involving software or SaaS categories.
  • Strong experience in spend analysis, cost modeling, pricing evaluation, and procurement reporting.
  • Proficiency in procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar ERP and procurement systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities.
  • Experience conducting market research, vendor benchmarking, and supplier evaluations.
  • Understanding of SaaS procurement, software licensing, subscription models, renewal cycles, and contract structures.
  • Experience managing RFP/RFI processes and supporting sourcing strategies.
  • Strong negotiation skills, particularly in pricing, SLAs, and contractual terms.
  • Ability to assess vendor performance and identify supplier, contractual, security, and compliance risks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to collaborate across IT, Finance, Legal, and business teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple sourcing activities and projects concurrently.
  • Willingness to work onsite and accommodate shifting schedules as needed.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
