Working in engineering:

Working at Nintex as an engineer means building more than just software; it’s about making a tangible impact with every line of code. Our engineers are process experts, developing the industry’s most complete process and automation platform to transform the way people work. If you’re interested, curious and want to learn and do more, the sky is the limit here. We take a solutions-oriented and collaborative approach, constantly innovating our business and products.

About the role:

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you are a skilled practitioner with a solid command of the technology stacks within your domain and broad familiarity with tooling across the wider platform and infrastructure environment. You own and deliver infrastructure and automation workstreams end-to-end with increasing autonomy, taking responsibility for moderately complex projects and exercising sound judgment in selecting methods and approaches.

You own components of the shared platform's reliability stack, implementing monitoring, alerting, and automation that ensure product teams can deploy and operate with confidence. You design operational solutions with feedback loops built in, deploy medium-to-large infrastructure components via automation, and act as a primary resource for supporting and operating existing platform systems. You implement and monitor SLIs that measure the shared platform's reliability from the customer's perspective, and you participate in production readiness reviews for new services deploying to the platform.

You automate operational tasks to reduce toil, targeting measurable reductions in manual intervention across your owned areas. You contribute to the platform's observability stack, ensuring meaningful alerting that minimizes noise and false positives, and you support capacity planning by monitoring resource utilization trends and flagging scaling needs. You diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues efficiently, improving system performance and reliability, and you write thorough post-mortems including root cause analysis and preventative actions.

You work cross-functionally with product, QA, and engineering teams to deliver well-rounded solutions, and you begin mentoring associate engineers and contributing to team best practices. You are an active part of the incident management process, including on-call rotation, building the production judgment and operational discipline needed to progress toward senior technical leadership.

Your contribution will be:

Platform Reliability & Operations • You implement software and infrastructure solutions with increasing autonomy, taking ownership of moderately complex features and enhancements within the shared platform • You own components of the shared platform's / your domain’s reliability stack, implementing monitoring, alerting, and automation that ensure product teams can deploy and operate with confidence • You implement and monitor SLIs that measure the shared platform's reliability from the customer's perspective for your owned components • You participate in production readiness reviews for new services deploying to production, validating that they meet observability and operational maturity requirements • You automate operational tasks to reduce toil, targeting measurable reductions in manual intervention across your owned areas • You contribute to the platform's observability stack, ensuring meaningful alerting that minimizes noise and false positives • You support capacity planning by monitoring resource utilization trends and flagging scaling needs before they become incidents

Infrastructure & Automation • You write infrastructure code, automation scripts, and tools using best practices, implementing infrastructure as code for platform reliability components including monitoring, alerting, and incident automation • You build containerized solutions and manage Kubernetes resources within the shared platform / your domain • You create reliable, maintainable, and well-tested infrastructure components that support platform availability and scalability • You deploy medium-to-large infrastructure components via automation into production, always following development and deployment guidelines • You ensure each solution adheres to relevant guidelines supporting security, disaster recovery, scalability, availability, reliability, and durability

Issue Resolution & System Maintenance • You diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues efficiently, improving system performance and reliability across your owned platform components • You write thorough post-mortems for infrastructure, pipeline, and automation problems, including root cause analysis and contributing to preventative and remedial actions • You triage and solve issues correctly and independently, working on problems of moderate scope requiring evaluation of various factors • You ensure code quality through appropriate tools and processes, considering relevant quality characteristics during design and development • You maintain and improve existing infrastructure and automation, implementing monitoring and alerting for owned systems • You respond to incidents during on-call rotation, applying learned patterns to prevent recurring issues

Collaboration & Mentorship • You work cross-functionally with product, QA, and engineering teams to deliver well-rounded solutions that support platform reliability • You begin mentoring associate engineers and contributing to team best practices • You contribute to software architecture discussions, providing input on infrastructure design decisions with a reliability-first perspective • You modify and improve existing operational procedures to make them compliant with relevant standards and SRE best practices • You share knowledge through documentation, team presentations, and contributions to runbooks and operational guides

To be successful, we think you need:

Minimum Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience • 2+ years of professional experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or related field • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (Python, Go, Bash, or similar) • Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) • Understanding of CI/CD practices, monitoring tools, and operational workflows • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production systems and participate in incident response • Understanding of SRE fundamentals including SLIs, SLOs, and monitoring best practices

Preferred Qualifications • Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog, or similar) • Experience participating in on-call rotations and incident management processes • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks relevant to infrastructure operations • Experience with database technologies and operational management • Demonstrated experience automating operational workflows and reducing toil • Contributions to internal documentation, runbooks, or operational tooling

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
