The posting

Nofence is a Norwegian scale up which has built the world’s first virtual fencing solution for livestock. As we aim to revolutionize livestock management we need more top-notch competence in our Product team, and we are now looking for a Growth Designer. Elevate your career with us and be at the forefront of innovation in agricultural technology!

We're looking for a Growth Designer to own the user experience of how farmers discover, buy and grow with Nofence. You'll design the website, purchase journey and growth products like our referral and partner programs, and use experiments and data to decide what ships next. You'll be part of the Growth team's leadership trio alongside the VP Growth and Tech Lead, setting the UX bar and helping shape what we build.

About the role

The main responsibilities for this role will be:

  • Design the purchase journey: Own the UX of the first-time buyer funnel and checkout, so smaller farms can buy on their own and larger farms move smoothly into a conversation with sales.
  • Shape the website: Own information architecture, page design and improve conversion across markets, working closely with our Growth Manager
  • Build growth products: Design our referral and partner programs end to end, across app, web and email.
  • Cross-Functional collaboration: Work with other teams to align patterns, coordinate releases, and remove seams between journeys. Share insights, resolve dependencies, and contribute to a consistent experience across the app.
  • Interaction design: Create engaging, intuitive interfaces and flows. Move from low-fidelity sketches to high-fidelity prototypes and ready-to-build specifications.
  • Collaborative problem solving: Work closely with UX designers, and the broader Growth team to tackle complex design challenges and deliver feasible solutions that meet user needs.
  • User-centered design: Plan and run discovery, concept tests, and usability evaluations. Use findings to inform prioritisation, iteration, and acceptance criteria.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Communicate decisions, trade-offs, and user insights with clarity. Ensure shared understanding and buy-in for your domain's direction.

About you

The right candidate is preferred to have the following qualifications:

  • Portfolio is needed to showcase your work
  • You have 5+ years of experience as a product, UX or growth designer, ideally with e-commerce, subscription or self-serve purchase flows with a track record of successfully delivered projects
  • Proficiency in AI, design and prototyping tools such as Figma is a must and you have strong interaction and UI skills and move easily from rough sketches to build-ready designs.
  • Fluent English oral and written communication skills. Our working language is English.
  • Relevant degree/diploma/certificate in Design, HCI, or equivalent.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • You make design decisions with data and are comfortable with funnels, conversion metrics and experiment results.
  • You're commercially curious and understand how design affects conversion and acquisition cost.
  • You work independently and own outcomes, not just deliverables.
  • You're comfortable shipping a good first version and improving it over time.
  • Exceptional design skills with a deep understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies.
  • You communicate clearly and can explain design trade-offs to developers, marketers and leadership alike.
  • Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to partake in workshops and design sprints that drive collaboration and innovation.
  • Comfortable with working cross-functionally collaborating with different stakeholders to find solutions and drive decisions to impact design.
  • You speak up early when a plan or deadline doesn't look realistic, and you share decisions openly with the team.
  • You're friendly, curious and thrive in a fast-moving team where priorities shift.

So far, our clients have used Nofence in a range of creative ways, including regenerative cattle farming, conservation grazing with goats, regenerative grazing with sheep, and even government work! Yet we have only just scratched the surface, and already have 250 million hours of operation on animals with recorded behaviour data to explore.

The Product team is currently a team of 15 employees working with Product development, UX Design and Global Customer Support. We're excited to add a Growth Designer to our team who's not only skilled in interaction design but also embodies the collaborative and friendly spirit of Nofence. We believe in cooperation, adaptiveness, and a fun and relaxed working environment!

We believe in seeing results fast. As a Growth Designer in our team, your work won't be lost in the bureaucratic shuffle. You'll witness the immediate impact of your contributions in real-time, influencing the evolution of our cutting-edge virtual fencing solution for livestock.

Join us, where ambition meets reality, and let's keep pushing the boundaries in the world of agri-tech!

We will evaluate candidates continuously.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
