About the project

We are looking for Quality Engineers to support a large-scale marketing technology initiative focused on delivering reliable, high-quality customer journeys and campaigns.

You will work closely with the AEP Architect & Mentor, journey and campaign builders, Data Operations, and UDX campaign and business teams to validate complex, event-driven marketing journeys across Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Campaign Orchestration, and related enterprise marketing technologies.

Quality assurance is a significant part of the delivery process, accounting for approximately 37–44% of planned hours for UDX journey templates.

This role combines functional testing, regression testing, data validation, defect management, and continuous improvement to ensure marketing journeys perform as expected before and after deployment.

What you'll do

  • Design comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for multi-step, event-driven customer journeys and marketing campaigns.
  • Execute functional, integration, and regression testing across Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Campaign Orchestration, and related marketing platforms.
  • Validate journey triggers, audience eligibility, decision logic, personalization rules, content delivery, and expected customer paths.
  • Develop and maintain regression test suites to ensure changes to existing journeys and campaign templates do not introduce unexpected issues.
  • Use SQL to investigate data discrepancies and compare audience, profile, and campaign counts across Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Snowflake, and source systems.
  • Verify data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across systems, identifying mismatches that may affect journey execution or campaign targeting.
  • Collaborate with journey builders, campaign specialists, and data operations teams to investigate issues and validate corrective actions.
  • Document defects with clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, supporting evidence, and business impact.
  • Track defects through resolution, retest fixes, and verify that issues have been addressed before release.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to clarify acceptance criteria, validate expected behaviors, and support testing sign-off.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, providing clear updates on testing progress, blockers, risks, and outstanding defects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, regression processes, quality standards, and overall testing efficiency.
  • Maintain test documentation and contribute to continuous improvement across the quality assurance process.
  • Take part in Nortal's Technical Interviewer Program, conducting technical interviews for your account and other accounts to help build the teams behind Nortal's growth.

What makes you a great fit

  • Hands-on experience testing marketing journeys or campaigns using enterprise platforms such as Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Adobe Campaign, Unica, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience designing and executing test plans, test cases, and regression suites for event-driven, multi-step customer journeys.
  • Strong understanding of functional testing, regression testing, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Practical experience using SQL to validate data and compare counts across different systems.
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies in customer data, audience counts, journey triggers, and campaign execution results.
  • Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to identifying, documenting, and reproducing defects.
  • Experience writing clear and actionable defect reports, including reproduction steps, expected versus actual behavior, and supporting evidence.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, journey builders, and business stakeholders to resolve defects.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and commitment to delivering reliable solutions.
  • Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate testing results, risks, and technical issues to US-based stakeholders.
  • Availability to work during US Eastern business hours and participate in daily stand-ups.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) or Adobe Real-Time CDP (RT-CDP).
  • Experience using Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse for data validation and analysis.
  • Experience implementing or maintaining automated tests for marketing platforms and customer journeys.
  • Familiarity with Workfront or similar work management tools.
  • Background in travel, hospitality, theme parks, entertainment, or related industries.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
