The Director establishes departmental strategy, standards, budgets, staffing models, performance measures, and continuous improvement priorities that support a safe, welcoming, and efficient 24-hour casino operation. As a member of the property leadership team, this position partners with Engineering, Security, Food and Beverage, Gaming Operations, Human Resources, and other departments to protect the guest and Team Member experience, maintain regulatory readiness, and advance North Fork Mono Casino's culture and Service Standards. This position will report directly to the Assistant General Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Provide executive-level direction for all EVS operations, establishing the department's vision, annual objectives, service standards, operating plans, and accountability framework.
  • Lead, coach, and develop EVS manager, supervisors, and frontline Team Members across all shifts; build a strong leadership pipeline and succession plan.
  • Design and maintain staffing models, organizational structure, schedules, and deployment plans aligned with property occupancy, gaming volume, events, special projects, and business demand.
  • Establish measurable cleanliness, sanitation, productivity, response-time, and guest-service standards; routinely review results and direct corrective action when expectations are not met.
  • Develop and manage the annual operating and capital budgets for labor, supplies, chemicals, equipment, contracted services, and departmental projects; monitor variances and implement responsible cost controls.
  • Create and maintain department policies, standard operating procedures, inspection programs, preventive-cleaning schedules, and quality-assurance processes for all assigned areas.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, chemical-handling, and sanitation requirements, including hazard communication, Safety Data Sheets, personal protective equipment, and required training.
  • Serve as the senior EVS leader during high-volume periods, special events, emergencies, weather events, construction impacts, and other operational disruptions.
  • Partner with Engineering on work orders, equipment life-cycle planning, floor and surface care, waste handling, pest control, and projects affecting property condition or presentation.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, attendance, Team Member relations, investigations, and leadership development.
  • Oversee vendor sourcing, scope development, contract performance, service-level expectations, and invoice review for outsourced EVS services and supplies.
  • Lead evaluations and implementation of cleaning technologies, equipment, chemicals, and sustainable practices that improve safety, quality, efficiency, and total cost of ownership.
  • Prepare and present executive reports on staffing, labor, budget performance, inspection results, incident trends, project status, operational risks, and improvement initiatives.
  • Respond to guest and internal service concerns with urgency, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain readiness for regulatory reviews, internal audits, insurance inspections, and Tribal Gaming Commission requirements applicable to the department.
  • Build an engaged, inclusive, and accountable department through clear expectations, timely communication, recognition, coaching, and fair application of policy.
  • Develop the manager and supervisors to independently lead day-to-day operations, address performance issues, conduct inspections, and make sound operational decisions.
  • Use data and operational observations to anticipate risk, prioritize resources, and recommend investments to executive leadership.
  • Promote cross-department collaboration and communicate service impacts, priorities, and recovery plans to stakeholders.
  • Champion injury prevention, safe work practices, responsible chemical use, and prompt reporting and investigation of incidents.
  • Responsible for ensuring that staff payroll is completed and approved prior to the close of payroll deadline.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage operating and capital budgets, analyze labor and supply trends, evaluate return on investment, and communicate financial results.
  • Strong workforce-planning, scheduling, performance-management, coaching, and succession-planning capabilities.
  • Ability to develop policies, standard operating procedures, service-level standards, inspection programs, and performance dashboards.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with executives, vendors, regulators, guests, and Team Members.
