The posting

Since our founding in 1996, Numerix has been at the vanguard of financial technology, providing quantitative analytics and software that redefine pricing and risk management across the financial markets. Through recent strategic acquisitions, Numerix has further strengthened its leadership position, empowering financial institutions worldwide to transform risk into opportunity with confidence. As AI reshapes capital markets technology, Numerix is focused on combining the speed and flexibility of AI with the deterministic, auditable, and governed calculations that financial institutions require.

The Product Architect, Oneview Engineering will work within the Product & Engineering organization to help develop the next generation of front-to-risk solution offerings for the financial markets industry.

Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, Oneview, this is a senior individual contributor role that serves as a trusted partner to Engineering leadership, driving solution design quality, cross-functional alignment, and development readiness across the Oneview platform.

The Product Architect is responsible for bridging the gap between business intent and technical execution, translating complex product requirements into robust, scalable, end-to-end solution designs that Engineering teams can execute with clarity and confidence. Working at the intersection of Product Management, Business Analysis, Financial Engineering, Architecture, and Software Engineering, the Product Architect will partner closely with those teams to challenge assumptions, identify solution gaps, evaluate trade-offs, and ensure that complex features are fully understood before implementation begins.

The role requires a unique combination of financial domain expertise, practical technology fluency, and deep understanding of enterprise financial software platforms. It is ideal for someone who can operate comfortably across business, product, quantitative, and engineering discussions, turning ambiguity into clear solution direction and helping ensure consistent, high-quality execution across the platform.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with Product Management, Business Analysts, Development Leads, and Software Architects to translate business and product requirements into clear, end-to-end solution designs.
  • Decompose complex features and workflows into implementable solutions, identifying business rules, dependencies, edge cases, cross-functional impacts, and delivery risks.
  • Drive development readiness by reviewing and refining requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and related artifacts before they enter Engineering execution.
  • Produce logical solution designs, workflow definitions, dependency maps, interface specifications, and other design artifacts that guide implementation using prototypes, examples, scripts, or mockups where.
  • Serve as a steward of Oneview's product architecture, ensuring solutions are placed in the appropriate layer, ownership and system boundaries remain clear, APls and integration interfaces are thoughtfully designed, and capabilities are reusable, scalable, and consistent across the platform.
  • Evaluate the impact of proposed solutions across data models, analytics, workflows, integrations, deployment architecture, upgrade paths, operational processes, and future platform evolution.
  • Identify and address non-functional requirements, including scalability, performance, maintainability, configurability, backward compatibility, Saas readiness, and operational supportability.
  • Work across Oneview modules and related Numerix products to ensure solutions are optimized from an end-to-end product perspective rather than a single-team or single-module perspective.
  • Facilitate design discussions and decision-making across Product, Financial Engineering, Architecture, and Engineering teams, reducing ambiguity and accelerating execution.
  • Influence and help shape Oneview's Al strategy by evaluating emerging Al capabilities, defining how Al should be incorporated into product workflows and platform services, and ensuring Al-driven solutions align with business needs, product architecture, and long-term platform direction.
  • Stay current with Oneview architecture, Numerix products, financial market workflows, and emerging technology trends relevant to the platform.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree, CFA, FRM, PRM, or equivalent professional experience is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial technology, capital markets software, quantitative analytics, product development, financial engineering, business analysis, solution architecture, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of derivative trade lifecycle management from a front, middle, and/or back-office perspective.
  • Familiarity with pricing, valuation, risk, P&L, VaR, stress testing, market data, reference data, security master, trade capture, position management, and related capital markets workflows.
  • Knowledge of financial product structures, curve building, valuation models, pricing models, risk analytics, and exposure to multiple asset classes such as Fixed Income, Credit, Equities, Commodities, and FX.
  • Experience interpreting customer, product, or business needs and translating them into functional and technical requirements.
  • Practical technology fluency across APls, databases, data models, data integrations, cloud services, microservices, and software delivery processes.
  • Ability to work credibly with software engineers, development leads, product managers, business analysts, financial engineers, and client-facing teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to decompose high-level information, reconcile conflicting inputs, identify the underlying need, and convert ambiguity into clear solution direction.
  • Intermediate scripting or prototyping skills, preferably in Python, or equivalent ability to create lightweight examples that support solution.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to document assumptions, solution decisions, trade-offs, open questions, and risks.
  • Ability to work closely with others in a fast-paced, complex product development environment spread across multiple geographies.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to manage multiple deliverables across stakeholders.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
