Job description

Role Purpose:

At OBT Group, the Regional Marketing Coordinator – Africa plays a key role in coordinating the day-to-day execution of marketing activity across our African offices.

Based in West-Africa and working closely with the HQ marketing team, this role acts as the day to day marketing contact for our teams across Africa, ensuring agreed marketing plans, brand standards, content requirements and communications are implemented consistently across the region.

This is a hands on coordination role with a strong focus on organisation, communication and follow through. The Regional Marketing Coordinator will support the established social media and content calendar, coordinate content from local operations, maintain marketing assets and stock records, manage relationships with photographers, videographers and local suppliers, and support exhibitions, events and roadshows.

The role requires someone who is naturally proactive and highly organised, with the ability to coordinate multiple countries, suppliers, and deadlines simultaneously. They will need to build strong working relationships with local teams, understand that ways of working can differ across markets, and confidently follow actions through to completion rather than waiting to be told what to do. • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, PR or a related field. • Ideally 3–5 years of experience in a marketing coordination, communications, events or similar broad marketing role. • Experience supporting multiple areas of marketing, ideally including content, social media, brand coordination, events and supplier management. • Excellent written and verbal English, with strong grammar and communication skills. • Working knowledge of French is a strong advantage but is not essential. • Strong PowerPoint skills, with confidence working with approved templates and creating clean, professional and on-brand presentations. • Good working knowledge of LinkedIn, Facebook and other relevant social media channels. • Experience working with photographers, videographers, printers, event suppliers or other external partners. • Experience supporting exhibitions, events or roadshows, including practical coordination and on-site setup. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple countries, suppliers, activities and deadlines simultaneously. • Proactive approach with the confidence to follow up with stakeholders and suppliers and drive actions through to completion. • Comfortable working across different countries, cultures, time zones and ways of working. • Experience working across Africa, emerging markets or a multi-country international organisation would be advantageous. • Willingness to travel between OBT offices and events across Africa as required. • No previous shipping or logistics experience is required. • Act as the day-to-day marketing contact between Group HQ in Dubai and OBT offices across Africa. • Ensure all African offices consistently follow OBT marketing SOPs, brand guidelines and approved standards across online and offline marketing activity. • Ensure offices are always using the latest approved marketing materials, templates, presentations, logos, photography and other brand assets. • Regularly follow up with local offices on marketing requirements, actions and deadlines, escalating where necessary to ensure agreed activity is delivered. • Coordinate with African offices to support delivery of the established Group social media and content calendar. • Proactively identify and collect operational stories, photographs, videos and business updates from local teams for use across social media, newsletters, PR and other marketing communications. • Identify, coordinate and develop relationships with reliable photographers and videographers across OBT’s African markets. • Brief photographers and videographers on OBT requirements and manage communication and follow-up from initial briefing through to delivery of final content. • Support OBT’s participation in exhibitions, events and roadshows , including stand setup, branding, approved marketing materials, merchandise and local supplier coordination. • Attend selected events where required to ensure OBT’s stand and brand presence are set up and presented to the agreed standard. • Identify and coordinate suitable local suppliers for merchandise, printing and other marketing requirements, ensuring agreed quality, cost and delivery timelines are achieved. • Build effective relationships with suppliers across different African markets and proactively manage and follow up on outstanding requirements. • Roll out HQ marketing communications across the Group, ensuring local offices understand requirements and use the correct approved materials. • Maintain an organised central library of approved brand assets, templates, presentations, photography and marketing materials, ensuring local teams have access to the latest versions. • Maintain accurate records of marketing materials and merchandise stock held across OBT’s African offices. • Coordinate the replenishment and distribution of marketing materials and proactively identify requirements before stock levels become an issue. • Support colleagues with straightforward marketing requests and PowerPoint presentations using approved OBT templates and materials. • Provide regular updates to the HQ marketing team on regional marketing activity, outstanding actions, supplier activity, content requirements and upcoming events.

Job benefits

• Competitive Salary and Comprehensive Medical Insurance. • All necessary business tools, including a Company Phone and SIM Card. • Opportunity to work from OBT Group’s Dubai headquarters with exposure to multiple African markets. • Broad hands-on experience across content, social media, events, communications and regional brand coordination. • A collaborative, diverse and supportive team environment fostering growth and development.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
