The ideal candidate will have cyber security experience in the Department of War (DoW) world. The candidate should possess a tenacious personality that displays excellent technical judgement, attention to detail, and ability to understand “the big picture”.

  • Implement Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) on various operating systems.
  • Advise on STIG’s applied on customer supplied products.
  • Produce letters of volatility and clearing procedures for in house products, as well as analyzing those produced by vendors.
  • Function as Cyber Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) between engineering, project management and the customer.
  • Introduce innovative design concepts to achieve optimal cyber system security.
  • Participate in government audits.
  • Some travel may be required.

Experienced engineers are also expected to take a leadership role within the software group. This includes helping craft and enforce policies and procedures for software development, and mentorship of junior team members.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • BS degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical or Systems Engineering. Commensurate experience will be considered.
  • 10+ years of practical experience in Systems, Software, Cyber Engineering or related field.
  • Work experience with US Department of Defense (DoD) or similarly regulated field.
  • Forward leaning personality that is a strong and effective communicator.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Department of Defense Security Clearance.
  • Must be a US citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with STIG and NIST policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Experience hardening embedded systems (including Linux variants and bare metal) and network devices.
  • Experience utilizing cyber methodologies to both derive and fulfill system level requirements.
  • Experience with the RMF lifecycle and creation of ATO artifacts such as clearing procedures and letters of volatility.
  • Experience designing and implementing security architectures.
  • Experience segregating classified and unclassified data via system design.
  • Experience with Anti Tamper (AT) technology.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
