The posting

About Us

At Oliver’s Travels, we’re passionate about making travel extraordinary. We believe holidays should be memorable, unique and tailored to our guests. That passion has seen us recognised among the best in the industry, with accolades including 10 consecutive years in the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards, a place in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 as one of the UK’s fastest-growing companies, and most recently, Best TV/Streaming Advertising at The Travel Marketing Awards.

Now, we’re looking for an SEO / GEO Manager to join our ambitious and creative team.

Job Overview

Search is changing fast, and so are the ways people discover and choose where to travel.

We’re looking for a commercially minded, hands-on SEO / GEO Manager to take full ownership of Oliver’s Travels’ organic search and AI discovery strategy. The role will initially have a balanced focus across traditional SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), with the freedom to evolve that mix as customer behaviour, technology and the search landscape change.

Your ultimate goal is simple: help drive more bookings by increasing Oliver’s Travels’ visibility and bringing more high quality organic traffic to our websites.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll set the strategy and roadmap along with our agency, but you’ll also be actively working in the tools, analysing performance, identifying opportunities and driving actions forward.

You won’t be doing it alone. You’ll work closely with our internal team across Content, Digital, Marketing Ops, Tech and PR, as well as external partners. Those teams will support delivery, but you will own the SEO and GEO agenda: identifying what needs to happen, prioritising activity and making sure it gets done.

It’s an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEO professional who wants genuine ownership and the chance to help shape how an established travel brand responds to one of the biggest shifts in search for years.

Key Responsibilities

SEO & Organic Search

  • Own and develop Oliver’s Travels’ SEO strategy and roadmap, with a clear focus on increasing organic visibility, qualified traffic and ultimately bookings.
  • Take ownership across the full SEO spectrum, including technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content SEO, internal linking, site architecture, authority building and international SEO.
  • Conduct regular keyword, search-intent, competitor and market analysis to identify opportunities for organic growth.
  • Work hands-on with SEO tools and data to identify issues, opportunities and priorities.
  • Conduct technical SEO audits and work closely with our Tech team to brief, prioritise and implement recommendations.
  • Partner with the Content team to identify content opportunities, develop SEO briefs and optimise existing and new content for search performance.
  • Own and continually improve internal linking and site architecture from an organic search perspective.
  • Work with our PR agency and wider Marketing team to identify opportunities to strengthen domain authority, earn relevant links and increase brand visibility.
  • Ensure SEO requirements are considered as part of website developments, migrations, new features and wider digital projects.
  • Identify and prioritise international SEO opportunities as Oliver’s Travels continues to grow across markets.

GEO & AI Discovery

  • Develop and own our approach to Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), ensuring Oliver’s Travels is well positioned as consumers increasingly use AI-powered tools to research and plan travel.
  • Monitor how Oliver’s Travels, our destinations and our villa portfolio appear across emerging AI search and answer platforms.
  • Identify practical opportunities to improve our visibility, authority and likelihood of being referenced or recommended within AI-generated answers.
  • Work with Content, PR, Digital and Tech teams to test new approaches to improving visibility across traditional and generative search.
  • Stay close to developments across Google AI experiences, ChatGPT, Perplexity and other emerging discovery platforms, translating changes into practical actions for the business.
  • Build a test-and-learn approach to GEO, recognising that best practice is still evolving and using data and experimentation to determine where we should invest our effort.
  • Continually assess the balance between traditional SEO and emerging AI discovery channels, focusing resources on the activity most likely to deliver meaningful commercial impact.

Performance & Insights

  • Own SEO and GEO performance reporting, working closely with Marketing Ops to ensure we have the right data, dashboards and measurement in place.
  • Track organic visibility, rankings, qualified traffic, AI visibility and other relevant leading indicators alongside their contribution to bookings and revenue.
  • Turn data into clear insights and actions rather than simply reporting numbers.
  • Monitor competitor performance and changes in the wider search landscape to identify threats and opportunities.
  • Establish clear KPIs, forecasts and targets for organic growth and regularly communicate progress to Marketing and the wider business.
  • Test, learn and adapt quickly, ensuring our organic strategy evolves alongside changes in technology and customer search behaviour.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Around 3–5 years’ experience in SEO, with a strong track record of improving organic search performance.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge across technical, on-page and content SEO.
  • Commercially minded, with an understanding that SEO success is ultimately about driving valuable traffic and contributing to bookings and revenue, not rankings alone.
  • Confident using common SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush or equivalent platforms.
  • A strong understanding of how search is evolving through AI and generative search, with genuine curiosity about GEO and emerging discovery platforms.
  • Comfortable experimenting with new tools, techniques and measurement approaches where established best practice does not yet exist.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into clear priorities and recommendations.
  • Experience briefing and working collaboratively across Content, Tech, Digital, PR and other specialist teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to champion SEO/GEO priorities across the business.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise opportunities based on potential impact.
  • Proactive and comfortable taking full ownership of a channel and driving work forward without needing a large team around you.
  • Experience within travel is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience with international SEO is an advantage.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
