The objective of all positions is to effectively provide the services personally, or to immediately refer requests to the appropriate department manager. The following is a summary of the major responsibilities of the position. DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage | Kitchen NotesJOB TITLE: Kitchen Notes Dining Room Attendant REPORTS TO: Kitchen Notes Assistant Manager, Kitchen Notes Manager JOB PURPOSE: To maintain the highest standards possible for the guest by insuring quick, efficient, and Dining Room Attendant services. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:• Must have complete knowledge of service times and menu.• Must have complete knowledge of floor plan, table numbers, and seat numbers.• Always inquire if additional service is needed from servers and or guests – helping water tables or food run when needed • Clear and disinfect tables using disinfect spray before, during, and after service.• Reset all tables with the correct setting. • Be able to move tables and chairs when and where needed for larger parties. • Move with a sense of urgency while preforming job duties. • Ability to perform the job functions with minimal supervision.• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers, with the ability to answer guest questions and describe menu items.• Must work as a team with all other DRA’s to efficiently take care of our guests and the dining room • Ensure work area is clean and clear of standing water, debris or any objects that can obstruct the job duties from being performed safely, efficiently, and effective.• Complete all side duties as assigned – polished silverware, fold napkins, stock and polish glassware. • Set up and breakdown of buffet according to time allotted.• Maintenance and replenishment of buffet items. Ensure items are full at all times, clean and presentable. QUALIFICATIONS:• Minimum 1 year food runner experience/DRA experience preferred. Other relevant hotel / food & beverage experience will be considered. • Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.• Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment.• Excellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skills.• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in an indoor/outdoor environment.• Required repetitive motion of arms, hands, and legs. TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:• Serving trays, tray jacks, flatware, glassware, Micros terminals
