JOB SUMMARY

Build your career with ONEOK as a Mechanic - Intermediate supporting critical natural gas gathering and processing operations in the heart of the Bakken. Based in Williston, North Dakota, this hands-on role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing the mechanical equipment that keeps our facilities operating safely and efficiently. You'll work on a variety of equipment, including natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, pumps, generators, turbines, valves, and other rotating and fixed assets essential to our midstream operations.

This position offers a highly desirable 4/10 work schedule, alternating between Monday-Thursday and Tuesday-Friday shifts, providing extended weekends throughout the year. Team members also participate in an on-call rotation to support safe and reliable operations. In addition to a competitive compensation package, employees receive a $1,500 monthly geographic allowance, 6% profit sharing, and a 7% short-term incentive opportunity.

The ideal candidate has experience maintaining and repairing industrial mechanical equipment, enjoys solving complex equipment issues, and is committed to operational excellence and safety. You'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance, analyze equipment performance, complete inspections and documentation, order parts and materials, and support the reliability of critical gathering and processing facilities. Candidates must reside within one hour of Williston to effectively support operational and on-call responsibilities.

Job Profile Summary

Performs activities related to mechanical work on equipment at compressor, pipeline, storage, gathering, fractionation and/or gas processing facilities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical work on fixed and rotating equipment at various locations including, but not limited to:Internal combustion, diesel, natural gas powered engines and electrical drivers Compressors, pumps, generators, turbines, valves, electrical equipment, and well equipment
  • Service, troubleshoot, maintain, install and repair structural, mechanical, electrical and/or well equipment. Conduct performance analyses, including emissions testing
  • Order and/or secure parts and supplies
  • Maintain, prepare and/or interpret reports and/or records including, but not limited to:Work logs and service orders Inspection reports Engine/equipment maintenance and repair records Pressure readings Material and supply orders Engine and compressor oil analysis reports
  • Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles
  • Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.

  • Experience in use and function of hand and power tools and equipment applicable to position
  • Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment
