The posting

The activities staff is responsible for assisting with the planning, organizing, developing and directing the operation of the activities department in accordance with the current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility to assure that our residents/customers receives activities for the emotional, social, physical and therapeutic needs.

  • assist with activities functions to ensure activities for ambulatory, non-ambulatory and bed-bound residents/customers
  • record activity programs and participation of individual residents and identifying progress toward established care plan goals
  • follow written activities policies and procedures
  • assist with community trips/outings
  • distribute monthly calendar of events and/or monthly newsletter
  • prepare room prior to each activity and clean up after activity completed
  • encourage participation, transport residents/customers to/from activity
