Position Title: HSE Manager

Location: Onsite (Leominster, MA)

As part of the Alphagary team, the HSE Manager will lead and ensure that Health, Safety & Environmental management systems are maintained, developed, communicated, and implemented in line with government/group guidelines and statutory requirements, and managed within the identified financial budget. This position is the lead role in implementing and maintaining ISRS registration for the facility.

Responsibilities:

· Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and internal safety policies. Regularly review safety protocols and make necessary updates to address potential hazards. Perform routine safety inspections of the manufacturing facility, equipment, and processes. Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with safety standards and regulations.

· Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential safety hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks; implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and incidents.

· Respond promptly to workplace accidents, incidents, and near-miss events. Conduct thorough investigations to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures to avoid future occurrences, including coordination and reporting through workers’ compensation.

· Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels. Conduct safety orientations for new hires and ongoing training for existing employees to increase awareness and ensure adherence to safety guidelines.

· Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits related to manufacturing operations. Implement and maintain environmental management systems to minimize the environmental impact of operations.

· Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures. Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency response protocols.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to safety incidents, training, inspections, and environmental compliance.

· Communicate safety and environmental performance to management and employees. Prepare regular reports on EHS metrics, trends, and improvement initiatives.

· Identify opportunities for process and system improvements related to EHS and drive initiatives to enhance safety culture and environmental sustainability.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a relevant field required. Postgraduate Diploma in HSE Management desirable.

· Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional - CSP) are preferred. Up-to-date knowledge of HSE regulations and legislation

· 3+ years of manufacturing industry experience or industrial EHS roles with a strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations and health compliance required

· 4+ years in a leading advisory HSE role desirable

· Proven track record of managing HSE programs required. Familiarity with EHS software and tools for data management and reporting desirable

· In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices related to workplace safety and environmental management required. OSHA 30 Certification is a plus.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders

· Project, time, and organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail

The compensation for this position will typically range from $90,000 – $120,000/yr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.

The compensation package may also include short- and long-term incentive compensation.
