The posting

OrbicTrade is an AI-enabled front-office and risk platform built specifically for commodity traders. It captures deal intent at source, turns it into structured, integration-ready trades, and connects with existing CTRM, ERP and data platforms.

Traders, trade control, operations and risk teams use OrbicTrade across crude and products, LNG, metals and concentrates, and agriculture. We do not replace the CTRM. We are the intelligent layer that works with a firm's existing technology, from deal capture and confirmation through to Value at Risk.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our growing team in Dubai.

Requirements

You will connect commodity trading users with our Dubai product and engineering team. You will turn real trading workflows into clear requirements, then see them through design, testing and client delivery.

This is a hands-on role requiring a strong understanding of both commodity trading processes and how software is built. You will work on the product roadmap as well as client implementations.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead workshops with traders, trade assistants, trade control, operations, risk and IT stakeholders

· Document current-state and target-state processes, business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria

· Perform fit-gap assessments and recommend standard product capabilities wherever appropriate

· Translate trading requirements into clear functional specifications for engineering

· Maintain the prioritised backlog with product and engineering leads

· Define the canonical trade data model and map it to client CTRM, ERP and contract-management systems

· Define validation rules, master-data requirements and approval workflows

· Define AI extraction test sets and review accuracy against real trade recaps

· Support functional design of confirmations, amendments, position reporting and the VaR module

· Develop test scenarios, test cases and expected results

· Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing and regression testing

· Lead defect triage, distinguishing between process, configuration, data, AI and technical issues

· Support data migration, cutover planning, go-live readiness and business sign-off

· Support product demonstrations, RFP responses and client proposals

· Deliver training and knowledge transfer to clients and internal support teams

Required Experience

· At least 7 years of business analysis experience in commodity or energy trading

· Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle from pre-deal and capture through to settlement

· Strong knowledge of physical commodity trading, including contract terms, pricing formulas, incoterms and logistics

· Experience with at least one E/CTRM platform, such as Endur, Allegro, RightAngle, Aspect or Eka

· Practical experience taking requirements from initial analysis through to implementation

· Experience preparing functional specifications, process flows and traceability matrices

· Experience supporting SIT, UAT, regression testing and defect management

· Experience working directly with software developers and technical architects

· Ability to use SQL for data analysis, reconciliation or issue investigation

· Experience with Agile delivery and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps

Preferred Experience

· Experience in one or more of crude and products, LNG, metals and concentrates, or agriculture

· Experience with trade confirmations, trade control or contract-management processes

· Understanding of market risk, including positions, P&L, stress testing and Value at Risk

· Experience with AI, automation or document-processing products

· Experience with API and integration specifications

· Experience in a software vendor, product company or consultancy

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
