The posting

  Purpose Provide support to the Financial Reporting team during the year-end annual audit and reporting cycle, and support recurring reporting activities, with a focus on reporting preparation, reconciliations and process documentation activities. You will work on the annual consolidated financial statements, MD&A and related Canadian and U.S. securities filings of a dual-listed public company. Scope of work

Assist with preparing supporting schedules and working papers for consolidation and note disclosures Assist with recurring reporting schedules and data pulls from the ERP systems Support Workiva document updates, roll-forwards, tie out figures across financial statements, MD&A, press release and other reporting activities Support external auditor requests and PBC tracking Support documentation of reporting processes, controls and quarter/year-end procedures Assist with ad hoc financial reporting and accounting analysis as required

What you will gain

Hands-on experience with a public company's annual reporting cycle, from close through filing Exposure to IFRS reporting, Workiva and working with external auditors Practical experience relevant to the CPA designation, with coaching from experienced reporting professionals

Candidate profile

Recent graduate in Accounting, Finance or a related field Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial statements Strong Excel skills. Exposure to ERP systems is an asset Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under reporting deadlines Good communication, organization and problem-solving skills Previous accounting, audit, finance or financial reporting internship/co-op experience preferred

Confidentiality The role may involve access to confidential and material non-public financial information. The successful candidate will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement and comply with the Company’s confidentiality, insider-trading and related policies. Term:  3 months, with possible extension Reports to:  Financial Reporting Manager Department:  Finance - Financial Reporting Work location: Hybrid (Toronto)
