  • Work closely with experienced attorneys in a collaborative boutique law firm environment.
  • Enjoy a hybrid schedule with regular work-from-home flexibility.
  • Develop your advocacy, deposition, research, drafting, and client-management skills through hands-on responsibility.

Location: San Francisco, CA. This is a hybrid opportunity, typically requiring three days per week in our San Francisco office with work-from-home flexibility on other days.

Note: Candidates must have a JD, active California Bar membership, and 1+ years of law firm litigation experience, ideally at the associate level. We are specifically looking for an attorney motivated to work across employment, real estate, business, and personal injury matters. In-house and solo practice backgrounds are not the preferred fit for this opening.

About Us

Confidential Employer. We are a full-service boutique law firm representing businesses and individuals in sophisticated litigation and transactional matters. Our team handles a diverse mix of real estate, business, employment, and personal injury matters and combines practical legal counsel with a willingness to litigate aggressively when necessary.

Job Description

  • Manage business, real estate, employment, and personal injury litigation matters with guidance from experienced attorneys.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, legal memoranda, and case strategy documents.
  • Conduct legal research involving statutes, regulations, case law, and relevant secondary authorities.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and trial-related proceedings.
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties throughout the litigation process.
  • Assist with settlement negotiations, mediation strategy, case evaluation, and trial preparation.
  • Manage case deadlines, files, discovery, and litigation calendars while handling multiple active matters.
  • Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop practical, results-focused litigation strategies.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar license.
  • 1+ years of law firm litigation experience, with 1 to 3 years strongly preferred.
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Exposure to depositions and litigation case management.
  • Ability and genuine interest in working across employment, real estate, business, and personal injury law.
  • Excellent communication, organization, judgment, and client-service skills.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

Why You Will Love Working Here

  • Broad exposure that allows you to become a more versatile litigator.
  • Meaningful responsibility rather than being limited to narrow assignments.
  • Direct collaboration with experienced attorneys on strategy and case development.
  • Hybrid flexibility combined with valuable in-person mentorship.
  • Diverse clients, substantive matters, and opportunities to sharpen courtroom and advocacy skills.
  • Generous bonus opportunity in addition to base compensation.
  • Boutique environment where your work and contributions are highly visible.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
