Du entwickelst und betreust die Backend-Services unserer Python-basierten IoT-Plattform, gestaltest Datenbankschemas und Qualitätsstandards mit und arbeitest eng mit den Produktteams zusammen.

Deine Rolle bei uns

Du übernimmst Verantwortung für Services und Schnittstellen unserer Plattform: vom sauberen Schema-Design in PostgreSQL und TimescaleDB über effiziente API-Logik mit Python und FastAPI bis hin zu Tests, Observability und CI/CD. Dabei denkst du Architektur ganzheitlich mit, gestaltest technische Änderungen aktiv und entwickelst dich zu einer verlässlichen Sparringsperson im Team.

Gemeinsam mit Embedded Systems, Customer Excellence und Analytics übersetzt du fachliche und technische Anforderungen in zuverlässige, gut getestete Services. Mit automatisierte Tests, hoher Codequalität, nachvollziehbarer Dokumentation und klaren Guardrails sorgst du dafür, dass neue Funktionen sicher und zuverlässig in Produktion gehen.

Deine Aufgaben

  • Entwicklung, Wartung und Optimierung von Backend-Services, REST-APIs und Automatisierungen auf Basis von Python.
  • Gestaltung und Pflege von Datenmodellen in PostgreSQL und TimescaleDB - einschließlich Abfragen, Indizes und Migrationen.
  • Mitwirkung an Architekturentscheidungen zu API-Struktur, Service-Layern und Schnittstellen sowie nachvollziehbare Dokumentation der Entscheidungen.
  • Weiterentwicklung der MQTT-basierten Kommunikation zwischen Gateways und Backend sowie der zugehörigen Nachrichtenverarbeitung.
  • Sicherstellung und Weiterentwicklung von Qualitätsstandards und Produktionsstabilität
  • Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Embedded Systems, Analytics und weiteren Produktrollen sowie Begleitung von Anforderungen bis zur stabilen Übergabe in den Produktionsbetrieb.

Das bringst du mit

  • Sehr gute Python-Praxis für Backend-Entwicklung, Datenverarbeitung und API-Logik.
  • Expertise im automatisierten Testen und dem Aufbau von Qualitätsstandards sowie eine strukturierte, reproduzierbare Arbeitsweise mit Tickets und agilen Prozessen mit Blick auf Security und Clean Code.
  • Erfahrung mit relationalen Datenbanken, idealerweise PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB (Schema-Design, Indexing, Migrations).
  • Sicherer Umgang mit REST-Schnittstellen und sauberer, versionierter Dokumentation.
  • Vertraute Arbeit mit modernen Backend-Frameworks (z. B. FastAPI).
  • Routine mit Git, GitLab, CI/CD und containerisierten Entwicklungs- oder Produktionsumgebungen, insbesondere Docker.
  • Bereitschaft, dich in neue Themen einzuarbeiten, Verantwortung zu übernehmen und technische Änderungen im Austausch mit anderen Teamrollen aktiv mitzugestalten.
  • Sprache: Deutsch C1, Englisch B2.
