  • Troubleshoot downhole and surface operational problems and work with engineering and service providers to develop practical solutions.
  • Coordinate rig crews, third-party service companies, equipment, materials, and logistics required for well operations.
  • Monitor daily operations and identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, reliability, and cost performance.
  • Verify that appropriate equipment, procedures, and resources are available before critical operations begin.
  • Participate in pre-job planning, risk assessments, safety meetings, and operational reviews.
  • Maintain strong communication between field personnel, engineering, production operations, leadership, and contractors.
  • Track operational progress, downtime, equipment performance, costs, and significant well events.
  • Document daily activities and maintain accurate well-service records in applicable reporting systems.
  • Assist with troubleshooting fishing operations, stuck pipe, tubing failures, equipment failures, well-control concerns, and other unplanned downhole conditions.
  • Support installation, repair, troubleshooting, and optimization of artificial-lift systems, including gas lift and other production equipment.
  • Ensure contractors and service providers meet established safety, operational, and performance expectations.
  • Participate in post-job reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future workover and completion programs.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce nonproductive time and improve rig, service-company, and overall well-delivery performance.
  • Promote a strong field safety culture with an emphasis on hazard identification, stop-work responsibility, and disciplined execution.

Qualifications

  • Extensive field experience in workover, completions, well servicing, production operations, or well intervention.
  • Strong working knowledge of workover rigs, completion equipment, fishing tools, tubing operations, pressure-control equipment, artificial lift, wireline, and coiled-tubing operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex field and downhole problems.
  • Strong understanding of well integrity and safe well-servicing practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret well schematics, completion programs, equipment specifications, and operational procedures.
  • Experience coordinating multiple contractors and service companies during active well operations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage changing operational conditions and priorities in a fast-paced field environment.
  • Strong computer and reporting skills, including experience with well-operations reporting systems.
  • Willingness and ability to work in field environments and support operations outside normal working hours when operationally required.

Preferred Experience

  • Significant experience with Permian Basin workover and completion operations.
  • Experience with artificial-lift installations and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supervising complex fishing and well-recovery operations.
  • Familiarity with cost tracking, operational performance metrics, and nonproductive-time reduction.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring field personnel and developing less-experienced technical staff.

Position Objective

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
