We are now looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team in Helsinki, Finland.

This is a broad and versatile legal role within an international technology environment, offering the opportunity to work closely with business leaders and stakeholders across Qvantel’s global organisation. What does the role look like in practice, and what kind of legal matters will you work with?

As Legal Counsel, you will support Qvantel across a variety of legal and corporate matters. Your responsibilities will include advising the business, supporting corporate governance and working closely with Group F&C and other internal stakeholders to ensure that legal considerations are effectively incorporated into business decisions. Your primary focus will be on corporate legal matters relating to Qvantel Oy and its subsidiaries, particularly corporate governance, compliance and corporate law. In parallel, you will also have the opportunity to support the management, sales, regions and other organisation with other legal matters as needed.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across different business functions, giving you a broad view of the business and its legal and compliance needs. The role offers a unique opportunity to develop a well-rounded understanding of an international technology company operating globally across multiple regions and markets, as well as to grow into a role with increasing responsibility and more influential role within Qvantel’s legal function.

If you enjoy combining legal expertise with a practical, business-oriented mindset and want to work in a truly international technology company, this could be the next step in your career.

What are we looking for?

You have a law degree and a genuine interest in developing your career in an in-house legal role. We expect you to have at least one year of experience in corporate and/or business law and preferably some previous experience working with a company’s legal matters. Experience from an international technology company is an advantage but not essential. You are ready to take ownership of your work, collaborate closely with Group F&C, tax and other business functions, and provide practical legal support. For us, attitude and mindset matter just as much as experience. We value a “yes we can” attitude, sound judgement, a willingness to learn and a pragmatic approach.

We hope that you have

  • A law degree and at least one year of experience in corporate and/or business law
  • Experience working as an in-house legal counsel
  • Fluency in using various AI tools, such as Claude or Copilot
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Finnish skills
  • A proactive and practical approach to legal matters, strong collaboration skills, and an interest in working in an international business environment
  • Willingness to travel from time to time

It would be a plus if you also have

  • Experience working in an international business environment
  • Experience in the software, technology, or export-driven industries

What do we offer?

You will take on a broad range of responsibilities, work closely with different stakeholders, both internally and externally, and have plenty of room to grow your role and build your career within a global organisation.

  • A broad and hands-on business corporate legal role with real responsibility
  • Close collaboration with teams across the business and exposure to an international group structure and Qvantel’s global operations
  • Opportunities to develop your expertise and take on increasing responsibility over time
  • After initial onboarding requiring daily presence, a hybrid working model with approximately three office days per week at our Kalasatama office in Helsinki
  • A competitive salary based on your background and experience

Could this be your next career step?

Great, we would love to hear from you!

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
