The posting

The Manager, Compliance Support leads the day-to-day operations of the Compliance Support team and helps ensure accurate, timely, and consistent support to branch operations. This role manages team workflow, oversees prequalification and customer compliance activities, coordinates contractor licensing and related support functions, maintains clear escalation and approval processes, and partners with Legal, operations, and corporate departments to improve processes, controls, documentation, and service delivery.   Essential Functions

Lead, coach, and support Compliance Support team members, including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, development, regular meetings, timely feedback, and performance evaluations. Oversee daily workflow, inbox intake, assignments, priorities, deadlines, workload balancing, backup coverage, responsibility matrices, cross-training plans, and business-continuity practices. Oversee completion of customer prequalifications, vendor registrations, credit applications, site-access requirements, site-specific compliance activities, online orientations and training access, customer reporting, and site-tracker or activity-hour submissions through applicable forms, email, portals, and third-party platforms. Review non-standard, sensitive, customer-specific, certification-based, or exception requests; perform quality-control reviews; confirm use of approved information; and escalate legal, financial, safety, insurance, quality, HR, fleet, or other issues before submission. Coordinate annual review and approval of standard prequalification information, frequently asked questions, supporting documents, and approved source materials with applicable corporate departments. Maintain documented workflows, SOPs, escalation guides, approval records, and controls designed to prevent inaccurate, outdated, unapproved, or confidential information from being provided externally. Oversee administration of third-party compliance and clearinghouse platforms, including ISNetworld, Avetta, Ariba, Highwire, TradeTapp, and similar systems, along with related credentials, access assignments, renewal calendars, reports, and electronic records. Oversee contractor licensing support, including renewals, new licensing research, qualifier requirements, licensing bonds, annual reports, and related records, as assigned. Partner with branch and corporate stakeholders to answer questions, obtain current information and documents, resolve access or submission issues, and communicate operational impacts. Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and improve intake, tracking, reporting, quality assurance, and customer service, including collaboration with IT and other support teams; develop and monitor practical service metrics such as request volume, turnaround time, aging, upcoming renewals, escalations, and recurring issues.

  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lead a service-oriented team, set priorities, delegate work, and maintain accountability. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret requests, identify risk, and determine when escalation is required. Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential, proprietary, financial, legal, or other sensitive information. Ability to develop, document, implement, and improve processes, SOPs, controls, and training materials. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and document-management tools; ability to learn and administer customer portals, clearinghouse platforms, workflow systems, and reporting tools. Adaptability, initiative, and a continuous-improvement mindset. Commitment to high standards of accuracy, quality, safety, and customer service.

$90,800-$122,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.    Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, compliance, management, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in compliance support, prequalification, licensing, legal operations, business administration, or a related function preferred. Prior experience leading employees, coordinating team workflow, or serving as a team lead preferred. Experience supporting construction, contractor, customer, vendor, or branch compliance activities preferred. Experience with prequalification or contractor-management platforms such as ISNetworld, Avetta, Ariba, Highwire, or TradeTapp is a plus.

Role Development This position is intended as a Manager I role with opportunity to take on broader responsibilities over time. Depending on business needs and the successful candidate’s experience, the role may grow to include broader Legal Operations responsibilities, including oversight of legal processes and SOPs, workflow automation, KPIs and reporting, and coordination of legal administrative support.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
