Peckham Inc. - Food Services Cashier

SUMMARY

The Food Services Cashier supports daily café operations by providing excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, maintaining stocked service areas, and assisting with opening and closing procedures. This role helps ensure an organized, efficient, and welcoming environment for all customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide friendly and professional customer service
  • Accurately operate the cash register and process badge and cash transactions
  • Maintain accurate cash handling with minimal discrepancies
  • Verify customer identification when required and escalate payment issues as needed
  • Stock and rotate café items (grab-and-go, snacks, beverages) using proper FIFO methods
  • Price and mark down items as needed
  • Restock utensils, paper products, cups, and beverage station supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness of register and service areas
  • Complete daily opening and closing procedures
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries during downtime
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 18 years old
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • Excellent organizational skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
