The posting

Provide guidance on all design, engineering and technical matters. Monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with established programs, procedures and technical accuracy of engineering deliverables & support services.   Also reviews project progress, manages resources & provides expertise.   Responsibilities:

Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.

Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.

Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.

Direct, review, and approve product design and changes.

Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.

Performs other related duties as required.

  Other Requirements:

4 year degree in Engineering, Material Science related field or equivalent

5-7 years related management experience

Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge to new systems to develop quality controls

Knowledge and practice of lean principles & Six Sigma

Must possess ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Using mathematics to solve problems.

Critical Thinking -- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Complex Problem Solving -- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

Operations Analysis -- Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design.

Sensitive to confidential information.

  Mental and Physical Requirements:

Able to read, speak and write English.

Using mathematics to solve problems.

Employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; climb up and down stairs;

Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; bending or stooping; squatting or crouching; kneeling; pushing or pulling; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Minimal safety hazards; general office working conditions.

Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.

Activities may involve being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.

Very good physical mobility and dexterity to inspect conditions of Trucking Assets (top, bottom, side, etc.), loading/unloading connections, etc.

Normal physical strength & fitness to handle conditions consistent with crude trucking field operations. 

Able to work under stressful conditions at times.

Strong work ethics of integrity and honesty striving for excellence in all activities employing accompanying communication.
