The IT department is undergoing a transformation, evolving from a traditional helpdesk-oriented function to a strategic enabler of business growth and innovation. The company’s culture is built on trust, responsibility, and a commitment to quality and innovation, fostering an environment where employees can make a meaningful impact and collaborate closely with motivated colleagues.

About the position

As a GRC Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in translating security policies into practical measures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhancing the company’s overall security posture.

The primary focus of this position is governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), as well as technical security policy implementation. While direct security monitoring and incident response are handled externally, you will work closely with the Operational Security Engineer and external security partners to develop and enforce security policies and align the company’s security framework with ISO 27001, NIST, European pharmaceutical regulations, FDA, and NIS2.

With a global scope, this role ensures the implementation of security policies across all Pharmacosmos sites and subsidiaries. You will help strengthen security measures across over 2,000 endpoints, including employee devices, servers, and manufacturing systems, with the long-term goal of achieving 80-90% compliance with ISO 27001 within the next 2-3 years.

Key responsibilities

  • Translate security policies into technical security measures and oversee their implementation.
  • Develop and enforce security policies aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, European pharmaceutical regulations, FDA, and NIS2 requirements.
  • Collaborate with external security partners (itm8 and Dubex) to address security findings and enhance the company’s security posture.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure security requirements are effectively implemented across global sites and subsidiaries.
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments and ensure accurate risk profiling.
  • Present security updates and risk assessments to senior leadership.
  • Contribute to the development of security control reports, working towards ISO 27001 certification.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) or IT security policy implementation.
  • Strong understanding and interest in working with ISO 27001, NIST, and regulatory frameworks (NIS2, FDA, European pharmaceutical regulations).
  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceutical, finance, healthcare, or similar) is highly preferred.
  • Ability to write and implement security policies.
  • Familiarity with risk assessments and control reporting.
  • Experience working in a global security environment is a plus.

Why join Pharmacosmos?

In this role, you have the opportunity to enhance both your personal and professional skills while contributing to Pharmacosmos’ ongoing global growth. Employee development is a key priority, with a strong emphasis on continuous training, courses, and participation in relevant conferences.

At Pharmacosmos, you will be part of a supportive organization that values balance, respect, and the well-being of its employees. You will collaborate with skilled colleagues who are eager to learn and grow together while contributing to strategic IT initiatives.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
