Werken bij De Regenboog

De Regenboog ligt in IJmuiden, vlak bij het strand en met de supermarkt praktisch om de hoek. Samen boodschappen doen, wandelen of bij goed weer richting het strand: vanuit de locatie is er genoeg te ondernemen.

Er wonen bewoners met een verstandelijke beperking, onder andere met het syndroom van Down, autisme en bijkomende psychische problematiek. Iedereen heeft een eigen karakter, gewoontes en manier van communiceren. De één heeft vooral behoefte aan duidelijkheid en structuur, terwijl een ander juist graag samen iets onderneemt of even zijn verhaal kwijt wil.

Je stapt hier bijna een familie binnen

Als Begeleider LVB werk je in een hecht team van zes collega's. Sommigen werken hier al 20 tot 25 jaar. Ze kennen de bewoners, de locatie én elkaar goed.

Er wordt hard gewerkt, maar ook veel gelachen. Collega's zijn open en eerlijk tegen elkaar. Als er iets speelt, wordt het uitgesproken. We zoeken daarom iemand die nuchter en down-to-earth is, initiatief neemt en ziet wat er moet gebeuren. Je hoeft hier niet op je tenen te lopen: wees jezelf, doe wat je belooft en draag bij aan de gezelligheid.

Jouw uitdaging

Als Begeleider LVB ondersteun je bewoners in hun dagelijks leven. Je zorgt voor structuur en duidelijkheid wanneer dat nodig is, maar geeft ook ruimte voor eigen keuzes en zelfstandigheid. Je kookt samen, doet boodschappen, onderneemt activiteiten en trekt er regelmatig op uit. Soms richting het strand, soms gewoon de buurt in.

Je werkt vooral in de avond en tijdens slaapdiensten. De avonddienst loopt van 15.30 tot 22.00 uur. Een slaapdienst loopt van 15.30 tot 09.00 uur de volgende ochtend. Tijdens de nacht slaap je op de locatie; het is dus geen wakende nachtdienst.

Je leert bewoners goed kennen en merkt daardoor sneller wanneer iets anders is dan normaal. Je past je begeleiding aan op wat iemand nodig heeft en stemt veranderingen af met je collega's. Juist daarin komen liefde, lef en meesterschap samen. Liefde zit in aandacht en weten wat iemand belangrijk vindt. Lef in duidelijk zijn en handelen wanneer dat nodig is. Meesterschap in begrijpen welke begeleiding past.

Wat krijg je van ons?

Bij Philadelphia krijg je de ruimte om het beste uit jezelf en uit je werk te halen. Daarom bieden wij naast alles uit de CAO Gehandicaptenzorg ook extra's.

  • Een contract voor onbepaalde tijd van 28 tot 32 uur per week, met een salaris van € 2.649 tot € 3.708 bruto per maand bij 36 uur (FWG 35).
  • Toeslagen voor onregelmatige diensten, 8% vakantiegeld en 8,33% eindejaarsuitkering. Je kunt deze laatste twee ook maandelijks laten uitbetalen.
  • Trainingen en opleidingen die aansluiten bij jouw werk en ontwikkeling.
  • Een klein en ervaren team waarin collega's voor elkaar klaarstaan.
  • Een locatie vlak bij het strand, midden in IJmuiden.

Wie ben jij?

Je bent nuchter, duidelijk en praktisch ingesteld. Je houdt van aanpakken, hebt gevoel voor humor en vindt het belangrijk dat bewoners een fijne avond hebben.

Wat je verder meebrengt:

  • Minimaal een mbo-3 diploma richting Zorg & Welzijn.
  • Ervaring met of affiniteit voor mensen met een verstandelijke beperking.
  • Je kunt omgaan met verschillende begeleidingsvragen en past je begeleiding daarop aan.
  • Je bent sociaal, betrouwbaar, zelfstandig en neemt initiatief.
