We are seeking a proactive and creative Senior Marketing Specialist to strengthen our brand presence, promote our programmes and support student recruitment across local and international markets.

This hands-on role combines digital marketing, content creation, branding, event marketing and website management. Working closely with internal teams, education agents, academic partners and external agencies, you will take ownership of marketing projects from concept through delivery, using performance insights to improve results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Digital Marketing & Campaign Management

  • Plan and execute integrated campaigns to build brand awareness, generate student enquiries and support programme recruitment.
  • Manage and optimise digital channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, email marketing and the Institute’s website.
  • Coordinate with appointed agencies and vendors on campaign strategy, creative development, delivery and optimisation.
  • Manage marketing expenditure within approved budgets, track agreed performance indicators and provide regular reports with actionable recommendations.

2. Content Creation & Social Media Management

  • Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with programme intakes, recruitment priorities, events and institutional initiatives.
  • Create and coordinate engaging written and visual content, including photographs, videos, student testimonials, programme features and event coverage.
  • Manage content across social media, websites, email campaigns and other communication channels.
  • Produce and update brochures, electronic direct mailers, newsletters, presentations, advertisements and other promotional materials.
  • Ensure content is accurate, engaging and consistent with Pickering Institute’s brand voice and applicable partner requirements.

3. Branding & Creative Development

  • Maintain a consistent brand identity across digital platforms, printed materials, events and partner communications.
  • Develop creative briefs and coordinate the production of posters, banners, flyers, promotional merchandise and digital assets.
  • Create and maintain branded templates, presentations and visual assets for use across the Institute.
  • Review creative work from agencies and vendors to ensure quality, accuracy and timely delivery.

4. Student Engagement & Event Marketing

  • Support the planning, promotion and execution of open houses, education fairs, recruitment activities, campus events and corporate engagements.
  • Develop event campaigns and promotional materials that encourage participation and communicate programme benefits clearly.
  • Work with admissions, academic and business development teams to showcase student experiences, achievements and institutional activities.
  • Review event engagement and enquiry outcomes to improve future marketing efforts.

5. Website & Digital Asset Management

  • Maintain website content to ensure programme details, intake information, news and other key information remain accurate and current.
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors on landing pages, search engine optimisation, website functionality and user experience improvements.
  • Support website redevelopment and other digital projects through content planning, creative input and coordination.
  • Organise and maintain marketing assets so approved materials are accessible and used consistently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant marketing experience, with demonstrated ability to manage campaigns and projects independently. Experience in education or international student recruitment is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in digital marketing, social media management, content creation and campaign execution.
  • Proficiency in one or more design and video editing tools, such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, CapCut or equivalent applications.
  • Working knowledge of paid advertising, website content management, search engine optimisation and marketing analytics. Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics and email marketing platforms is an advantage.
  • Strong copywriting, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and markets.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • A proactive, collaborative and results-oriented approach, with confidence working independently and coordinating with external partners.
  • Chinese-language proficiency is an advantage for developing content and supporting communication with Chinese-speaking students, agents and partners.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
