The posting

The Product Marketing Manager, Hand & Arm Protection, is the customer-obsessed marketing leader for PIP’s Hand & Arm Protection portfolio. This role begins with a deep understanding of distributor and end-user needs, challenges, buying considerations, and workplace realities, then translates those insights into category strategy, differentiated positioning, commercialization plans, and experiences that make it easier for customers to choose, adopt, and advocate for PIP solutions. As the category marketing leader and subject matter expert, this position champions the voice of the customer and ensures customer value guides decisions from early product development through launch, adoption, and lifecycle growth. The Product Marketing Manager partners closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Marketing, Vertical Marketing, Marketing Communications, and Digital Marketing to remove customer friction, strengthen core product performance, launch meaningful innovations, and drive profitable category growth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the customer advocate, marketing leader, and subject matter expert for the Hand & Arm Protection category
  • Build a deep, ongoing understanding of distributor and end-user priorities through customer visits, field observation, interviews, advisory input, wear trials, feedback, and market research
  • Turn customer needs, pain points, behaviors, and unmet expectations into actionable category strategies, annual growth plans, product requirements, messaging, and commercial priorities
  • Develop differentiated positioning, messaging, proof points, and value propositions grounded in the outcomes customers value most
  • Lead customer-focused go-to-market planning and commercialization for new product launches and portfolio initiatives, with clear target audiences, problems to solve, reasons to believe, and adoption goals
  • Create practical launch materials, sales tools, training, digital content, and enablement resources that help distributors sell with confidence and help end users select and use the right solution
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Marketing, Vertical Marketing, Marketing Communications, and Digital Marketing to deliver relevant, consistent, and connected customer experiences
  • Monitor competitive activity, industry trends, customer feedback, and changing market expectations to identify opportunities and strengthen PIP’s value to customers
  • Measure launch effectiveness, customer adoption, engagement, satisfaction signals, and business performance; use the findings to continuously improve programs and experiences

CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated customer-obsessed mindset with a consistent habit of starting with customer needs and working backward to solutions
  • Strong listening, curiosity, empathy, and field-learning skills, with the ability to uncover stated and unstated customer needs without overpromising
  • Strong strategic thinking, commercial judgment, and business acumen
  • Proven product positioning, messaging, storytelling, and value-proposition development capabilities
  • Strong presentation, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-influence skills
  • Data-informed decision-making and analytical skills, paired with the judgment to seek direct customer evidence
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority and create accountability for customer outcomes
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong understanding of Voice of Customer principles
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
