As a Registered Nurse, you'll provide hands-on clinical care, patient education, and support throughout the patient experience. On a typical day, you might:
Assess patient needs, review medical histories, and provide nursing evaluations
Educate and counsel patients about sexual and reproductive health, contraception, pregnancy options, and abortion care
Support medication abortion services, including patient education and follow-up
Assist clinicians with procedural services, including abortion care, vasectomy, and other reproductive health procedures
Provide nursing care in surgical and recovery settings, including patient monitoring and support during sedation and analgesia
Administer medications and injections, perform phlebotomy, and establish and remove IV access
Perform laboratory testing and assist with ultrasound procedures as trained and authorized
Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, responding to their physical and emotional needs
Coordinate referrals, follow-up care, and communication of test results
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
Collaborate with clinicians and health center staff to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered care
Help maintain clinical standards, patient safety, and a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment
Schedule & Location This is a regular, full-time position (38 hours/week) at our Northeast Specialty Services Health Center in Portland, Oregon.

This is an onsite position. Candidates must be able to reliably work the established schedule. Employees may be requested or required to occasionally work other days (including weekends), hours, and locations to meet operational needs. No additional language requirement. What We're Looking For Required:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon, or appropriate licensure for the state of practice
Nursing education meeting applicable state licensure requirements
At least 1–6 months of nursing experience in a medical setting, or equivalent experience
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills
Ability to perform or develop proficiency in phlebotomy, IV placement and removal, medication administration, and ultrasound procedures
Ability to provide nursing support during procedural care, sedation, and recovery
Sound clinical judgment, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clinicians and other health center staff
Commitment to compassionate, inclusive, nonjudgmental reproductive health care
Support for Planned Parenthood's mission and commitment to patient autonomy
Nice to Have:
Experience in reproductive health, family planning, abortion care, or outpatient procedural services
Experience in surgical nursing, recovery care, or procedural sedation
Experience with ultrasound or gynecological procedures
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
Bilingual or multilingual skills
Pay & Growth $41.03–$59.77/hour This is a represented, hourly (non-exempt) position. The wage scale is established by the collective bargaining agreement (CBA), and starting wage placement is based on relevant experience and internal equity. Most new hires start toward the lower end of the range, with room to grow. Additional pay opportunity:
Bilingual premium: +$1.72/hour for eligible employees who meet PPCW's language proficiency requirements.
