The posting

At Planteria Group, we help organisations reimagine their workplaces, making them more productive, healthy, and sustainable. From creating warm, welcoming reception areas to designing large-scale living architecture, we turn ordinary spaces into vibrant places where people genuinely love to be.

We’ve grown from a small family business into the UK’s leading interior landscaping specialist, transforming workplaces and commercial environments with the power of nature, to international expansion with operations in the US. Along the way, we’ve partnered with some of the UKs, and now US’s most recognisable brands to bring biophilic design to life, from lush office greenery and elegant corporate floristry to spectacular roof gardens and living walls.

Our success is driven by a fantastic team of 185 employees internationally, and we’re continuing to expand. We’re now looking for passionate individuals to join us on this journey and help us shape the future of sustainable, inspiring workplace design.

Please note that this is a part-time opportunity, with the successful candidate working 3 days per week.

YOUR IMPACT:

As our HR Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to leaders across the business, helping to create a high-performing, engaged, and commercially focused culture. Working closely with our leadership team and HR Advisor, you'll provide pragmatic people advice, challenge thinking where needed, and support managers in making effective decisions that balance people and business needs.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll partner with managers on employee relations matters, organisational change, performance management, workforce planning, and leadership development. You'll also use people data and insight to identify trends, improve decision-making, and help shape future people initiatives that support our continued growth.

You'll have a direct impact on developing management capability, strengthening employee engagement, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and creating people practices that enable our teams to thrive whilst delivering excellent service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with senior leaders and department managers to align people strategies with business objectives, driving performance, engagement, and organisational effectiveness.

- Act as a trusted advisor, providing commercially focused HR guidance and practical people solutions across the business.

- Work closely with our HR Advisor to deliver a responsive, professional, and consistent HR service.

- Lead and support complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management, and long-term sickness matters.

- Coach and support managers in performance management, employee engagement, people leadership, and team development.

- Support organisational design and workforce planning activities to ensure the business has the right people, skills, and structure for future growth.

- Ensure HR policies and procedures remain compliant, fit for purpose, and consistently applied.

- Identify opportunities to improve people processes, employee experience, and organisational effectiveness.

- Analyse people metrics and workforce data to provide meaningful insight and support informed business decisions.

- Contribute to strategic HR and organisational change projects as required.

YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE:

- Experience operating as an HR Business Partner, or similar senior HR role within a fast-paced commercial environment.

- A proven ability to provide pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice to managers at all levels.

- Strong employee relations experience and confidence managing complex cases from start to finish.

- Experience supporting organisational change, restructures, workforce planning, and people projects.

- Excellent coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and build management capability.

- A passion for improving employee performance, engagement, and leadership effectiveness.

- An evidence-based approach to problem solving, balancing employee needs with commercial priorities.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to different stakeholders.

- A collaborative and proactive approach, with the confidence to work independently whilst supporting a growing business.

Knowledge & Qualifications

- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience), or actively working towards qualification.

- Degree qualified in HR, Business, or another relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and its practical application.

- Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Experience using HR systems (Such as HiBob) and management information to identify trends and drive improvements.

- Ability to produce accurate employee relations documentation, reports, policies, and procedures.

- Strong judgement, resilience, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive matters.

Your Career Progression & Development

We believe careers aren’t one size fits all. That’s why we invest in learning and development across all our roles, empowering individuals to grow in ways that suit their strengths, whether that’s leading people, deepening expertise, or sharing knowledge as part of our wider training and development community.

Our Benefits:

- Quarterly Company Bonus Scheme

- Annual Performance Related Bonus Scheme

- BUPA Cash plan

- Learning and Development Support

- Lunch provided at our offices

- 25 days holiday, plus any UK Bank Holidays

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
