Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts, frameworks, and comprehensive test suites using tools such as Cypress and Playwright.
  • Create detailed, structured test plans and test cases that address functional, technical, performance, and reliability requirements.
  • Work directly on product features and bug fixes alongside software engineers to improve overall product quality.
  • Test existing products to identify, isolate, document, track, and help resolve defects.
  • Perform manual testing when appropriate to complement automated testing and ensure thorough product coverage.
  • Conduct load and performance testing, including test design, implementation, execution, and reporting.
  • Validate APIs and RESTful services to ensure they meet functional and technical expectations.
  • Ensure products satisfy business requirements, customer expectations, and established performance and reliability standards.
  • Act as a technical resource for test automation, providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and training to other team members.
  • Contribute to the development of the overall product testing strategy and continuously improve quality assurance processes.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and project planning meetings.
  • Exercise independent judgment in release quality decisions, including blocking software releases that do not meet established quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a strong culture of software quality and encourage shared accountability for testing.
  • Apply creativity, curiosity, and resourcefulness to identify opportunities to improve testing practices and product reliability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience as a Software Developer in Test, SDET, or in a similar software quality engineering role.
  • Strong experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages, particularly Cypress, Playwright, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in writing test cases, developing automated scripts, using testing frameworks, and maintaining test data sets.
  • Experience designing, developing, implementing, and reporting on load and performance tests.
  • Experience testing APIs and RESTful services.
  • Familiarity with containerized environments and technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver work within project timelines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with developers, product managers, and customer support teams.
  • A strong commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and software testing best practices.
  • Experience with the Dash Duo test library is particularly relevant for candidates using AI agents in their application process.
  • Experience with Python and/or Go is considered an asset.
  • Exposure to data science and machine learning concepts is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration environments, particularly GitHub Actions, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GitHub, CI/CD, and DevOps practices is an advantage.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness coverage.
  • Generous paid time off.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Parental leave top-up program.
  • Stock options for all full-time employees.
  • Learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Fully remote work environment.
  • Home office support.
  • Opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team and participate in a developer community forum.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
