The posting

Role Purpose The Commercial Finance and Financial Planning & Reporting team serves as the analytical hub for the organization, providing data-driven insights to support executive decision-making. This team delivers management information to guide future performance expectations, forecasts, and reviews of actual results, enabling informed decisions to optimize sales, revenue, and costs.

As a Finance Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the finance team through financial analysis, reporting, and insight generation. You will gain practical experience interpreting financial data and contributing to strategic decision-making, working closely with senior finance and technology professionals to enhance reporting quality and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead profitability reporting for projects and products, providing actionable insights to support commercial decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality financial presentations, dashboards, and reports for senior leadership.
  • Analyze key performance indicator (KPI) trends to inform operational and strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Technology, and Delivery teams on financial modelling, analysis, and reporting initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and process automation, including leveraging AI-enabled tools.

Functional and Technical Skills

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data into clear business insights.
  • Analytical mindset with curiosity to explore trends, challenge assumptions, and improve processes.
  • Familiarity with financial modelling, profitability analysis, and cost allocation principles is desirable.
  • Experience handling large datasets, data cleansing, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data modelling techniques.
  • Competence in data modelling and dashboard development.
