The posting

We are looking for a Market Access Manager who will develop and execute strategies that enable healthcare products to achieve sustainable and timely access across relevant healthcare channels in the Philippines.

The role will focus on market access strategy, pricing and reimbursement, institutional and government access, procurement, healthcare financing, and value strategy. You will work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Medical, Regulatory, Finance, Supply Chain, and Legal/Compliance teams to translate healthcare and financing requirements into practical business and access strategies.

This is a strategic role that may initially operate as an individual contributor, with potential responsibility for leading assigned teams or project resources.

Key Responsibilities

Market Access Strategy

  • Develop annual and medium-term market access strategies aligned with business and portfolio objectives.
  • Identify access barriers across products, therapeutic areas, channels, customer segments, and geographies.
  • Develop market access plans for priority products, launches, and portfolio initiatives.
  • Establish access roadmaps, milestones, priorities, and success measures.
  • Develop recommendations based on changes in pricing, reimbursement, procurement, and healthcare policies.

Pricing, Reimbursement & Value Strategy

  • Lead or coordinate pricing strategy development using market, competitor, affordability, customer, and product-value considerations.
  • Conduct price benchmarking and access/affordability assessments.
  • Assess the impact of discounts, tenders, contracts, reimbursement rules, and procurement mechanisms.
  • Support reimbursement, formulary, and access submissions.
  • Develop evidence-based product value propositions and stakeholder-specific value stories.
  • Partner with Finance to assess pricing, access, volume, margin, and profitability considerations.

Government & Institutional Access

  • Develop and maintain stakeholder maps covering government agencies, healthcare institutions, procurement organizations, hospital groups, healthcare financing stakeholders, and other access decision-makers.
  • Build professional relationships with relevant external stakeholders in accordance with company policies and ethical standards.
  • Understand institutional decision-making, procurement requirements, formularies, reimbursement mechanisms, and healthcare access pathways.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product inclusion, availability, utilization, affordability, and continuity of access.
  • Support government and institutional account strategies with market access insights and recommendations.

Healthcare Policy & Market Intelligence

  • Monitor Philippine healthcare policy, reimbursement, procurement, pricing, and public health developments.
  • Assess the potential business impact of healthcare and policy changes.
  • Provide management with timely market intelligence and recommended actions.
  • Maintain relevant market access intelligence, dashboards, and reports.
  • Participate in relevant industry forums and professional associations.

Evidence & Health Economics

  • Identify evidence gaps that may affect reimbursement, formulary inclusion, institutional adoption, or access.
  • Partner with Medical, Regulatory, and external experts on evidence-generation initiatives.
  • Support health economics, budget-impact, outcomes, and real-world evidence projects where relevant.
  • Translate technical and clinical evidence into clear, stakeholder-relevant value propositions and business cases.

New Product & Launch Access

  • Integrate market access requirements into new product and launch planning.
  • Develop access assumptions, risks, milestones, and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Support launch readiness covering pricing, reimbursement, institutional listing, procurement, and access requirements.
  • Coordinate with Commercial and Supply Chain teams to align access expectations with product availability and demand.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal/Compliance, Customer Service, and Corporate Affairs.
  • Provide market access inputs to brand plans, forecasts, business reviews, investment cases, and strategic decisions.
  • Prepare executive presentations, access proposals, stakeholder briefs, and business cases.
  • Translate market access intelligence into actionable recommendations for commercial and account teams.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure market access activities comply with applicable Philippine laws, regulations, industry codes, and company policies.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails for material access activities.
  • Identify and escalate commercial, pricing, financial, regulatory, compliance, and reputational risks.
  • Develop practical market access tools, templates, playbooks, and working guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Business, Economics, Life Sciences, Health Economics, or a related field.
  • Typically 5–8 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical market access, pricing/reimbursement, institutional business, government affairs, commercial strategy, healthcare consulting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales and marketing or commercial experience, preferably with managerial or strategic exposure.
  • Experience in the Philippine pharmaceutical or healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with institutional, government, payer/healthcare financing, procurement, or healthcare stakeholders is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial practices, healthcare systems, procurement, reimbursement, and market access dynamics.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
