  • Analyze market data, competitive activity, and demographic and lifestyle trends to identify growth opportunities aligned with the strategic objectives of the ORV business in global markets.
  • Study consumer behaviors that influence ORV purchasing decisions, monitor customer satisfaction trends, and determine the Voice of the Customer research needed to meet or exceed consumer expectations.
  • Manage the international product portfolio through accurate volume and model-mix forecasting, collaborating with Operations, Sourcing and Purchasing, Powertrain, and Sales Operations to support planning cycles and financial goals.
  • Establish clear Key Product Characteristics for global customers and product specifications, balancing consumer needs, technical considerations, cost targets, quality goals, and commercial objectives.
  • Lead Product Development Committee meetings to define and plan the execution of strategic ORV growth initiatives in global markets.
  • Recommend product pricing based on competitive positioning in international markets and product-line profitability goals.
  • Lead new-product launch and go-to-market strategy development in partnership with Marketing, global subsidiaries, and distributors.
  • Monitor technology, regulatory, and competitive product-development trends; identify and advocate for innovations that solve consumer problems and strengthen the Polaris ORV product offering.
  • Coordinate accessory and bundle plans with Parts, Garments and Accessories to support target customers and enhance the Polaris ORV ownership experience.
  • Support the integration and implementation of the ORV business in new segments through organic development, strategic alliances, or acquisitions, and represent Polaris at industry events, trade association meetings, and consumer-facing activities.

Desired Competencies:

  • Business Acumen: You understand how your work impacts financial performance, operational efficiency, and organizational goals, and you make decisions with the broader business context in mind.
  • Collaboration: You work effectively with others across functions and levels, contributing to shared goals while respecting different perspectives.
  • Data & Analytical Literacy: You interpret data, metrics, or reporting to inform decisions, identify trends, and measure outcomes relevant to your role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, or a related field required; MBA or other graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales, marketing, or product development experience.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, including the ability to use market, customer, competitive, and financial information to support product and portfolio decisions.
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative market-research tools and techniques, with a strong customer focus.
  • Excellent presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external audiences at multiple levels, including senior management, international press, subsidiaries, distributors, and dealers.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and simplify complex decisions into clear product attributes and recommendations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and cross-functional influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and execute across functions and divisions.
  • Global cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with international stakeholders.
  • Ability to competently operate off-road products; extensive knowledge of off-road vehicles, powersports products, or automotive products is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment and make regular trips to Polaris engineering and manufacturing facilities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
