Polaris Adventures is seeking a Regional Account Manager to own relationships with a group of key Outfitters across the Northern Rocky Mountain Region, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Alaska. Based within the region, you will manage commercial operations through regular in-person engagement while partnering closely with the Inside Account Management team. This role leads the onboarding, ongoing support, and growth of assigned Outfitters while balancing customer needs, program requirements, and business objectives. The position offers meaningful ownership of regional account performance, Outfitter success, and business development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own relationships with assigned Outfitters, providing in-person account management and serving as an escalation point for specified issues.

• Lead onsite ramp-up, training, and operational support for new and existing accounts, ensuring understanding of program processes, policies, guidelines, packages, and solutions.

• Establish clear meeting cadences and communication expectations with Outfitters, vendors, and internal partners through in-person, written, and verbal communication.

• Develop tailored account management plans using data and trends to identify growth opportunities, support program compliance, advance initiatives, and improve Net Promoter Score results.

• Prepare and present monthly business reviews covering goals, program compliance, performance, and active initiatives.

• Anticipate Outfitter needs through proactive year-round outreach, tailored recommendations, and promotion of available self-service portals and tools.

• Forecast and track key account metrics, identify inconsistencies in data or business processes, and partner with the Inside Business Owner to address process gaps or adherence concerns.

• Use market trends, ride statistics, and other available data to develop strategic plans, prospect for opportunities, and secure new business additions.

• Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts while supporting the delivery of high-quality customer experiences.

• Generate warm leads and provide local market insights to the business development team, including competitive intelligence and information about expansion, growth, and marketing activities.

• Coordinate with internal and external vendors, suppliers, and consultants to support timely implementation and training.

• Provide flexible account support for Polaris Adventures’ core business, and emerging programs as needs arise.

Desired Competencies:

• Customer Focus: You prioritize the needs of internal or external customers and use feedback and data to improve outcomes, processes, or experiences.

• Communication: You clearly convey information, ideas, and expectations to diverse audiences, adjusting your message to ensure understanding and alignment.

• Business Acumen: You understand how your work impacts financial performance, operational efficiency, and organizational goals, and you make decisions with the broader business context in mind.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field of study, or an associate degree with equivalent work experience.

• Minimum of 5 years of in-person client relationship management or account management experience, including demonstrated success managing relationships across multiple organizations and locations while supporting varied needs.

• Experience leading teams or projects.

• Excellent written and verbal communication and active listening skills, including experience delivering presentations or training tailored to audience needs.

• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to build rapport and influence through diplomacy to encourage program participation and support Outfitter growth and expansion objectives.

• Experience developing client-focused solutions, managing multiple accounts or projects, and maintaining strict attention to detail and service levels.

• Ability to identify conflicts or challenges and provide solution-oriented recommendations.

• Ability to work remotely from a home-based office within the Northern Rocky Mountain Region and reside within 60 minutes of a major metropolitan airport, preferably near the Billings metropolitan area.

• Ability to travel more than 50% within the assigned region.

• This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
