About the Role

Polruan Primary Academy is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable teacher for our EYFS/KS1 class. Experience of working with a variety of special educational needs is essential, alongside a strong understanding of child development and key developmental milestones.

You will be working as part of a small but brilliant team of friendly, knowledgeable staff who are committed to providing the very best opportunities for our children. We are looking for someone who brings calmness, kindness and patience to the role, together with a thorough understanding of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum and assessment, to ensure all children make good progress and achieve their full potential.

In return, we can offer a lovely class of enthusiastic children, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive and welcoming working environment at Polruan Primary Academy.

This position is offered on a fixed-term basis until the end of the academic year in the first instance.

If you are enthusiastic, dedicated and ready to make a real difference, we would love to hear from you.

As a Teacher, You Will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that enable all children to achieve their full potential.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment where children feel valued, supported and inspired to learn.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners and ensure appropriate challenge and support.
  • Work closely with colleagues, teaching assistants and external professionals to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Play a full part in the life of the school and wider Trust community.
  • Lead and develop a curriculum area across the school, sharing good practice and supporting school improvement.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute positively to our collaborative and supportive team culture.

What We Offer

  • A vibrant, inclusive and nurturing school where every child is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • The opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who value creativity, curiosity and kindness.
  • Access to excellent training and professional development opportunities through Bridge Schools Trust.
  • A supportive leadership team that champions staff wellbeing and professional growth.
  • A welcoming and positive working environment where collaboration and innovation are encouraged.
  • The opportunity to be part of a Trust that is committed to putting learning first and investing in its people.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
