The posting

About Willowcroft Community School:

At Willowcroft, we believe tomorrow's success starts today. We are a flourishing primary School (ages 2-11) dedicated to creating a supportive, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

Our community is built around our core values—the 4 Rs:

Resilience

Reflectiveness

Reciprocity

Resourcefulness

We are proud of our excellent facilities, which include extensive outdoor learning areas for Forest School, and OPAL , and a dynamic team structure. Staff welfare is incredibly important to us; we offer extensive professional development, family-friendly policies, and a supportive Senior Leadership Team.

The Role:

We are looking for an exceptional teacher who can deliver engaging, high-quality lessons while nurturing young minds. Whether you are an experienced practitioner looking for better work-life balance or a talented Early Career Teacher (ECT) wanting a supportive start, we welcome your application.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative, inclusive lessons that motivate and challenge all learners.

Foster a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment aligned with our 4 Rs.

Assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of all individuals (including SEN support).

Partner closely with parents, support staff, and the wider school community.

What We Are Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

A strong commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children.

A collaborative team player with an energetic and flexible approach.

Evidence of relevant further training is desirable, but a sense of humour is essential!

What the school offers its staff:

Joining Willowcroft Community School means having the opportunity to work in a happy, friendly school with a very supportive senior leadership team. Every day here is different, and our staff are committed to supporting each other and creating a positive working environment.

We believe in prioritising staff welfare and well-being, which is why we offer various benefits, including reduced-cost child care, higher priority for Willowcroft school admissions, and family friendly policies. We also value continuous professional development for our staff. As a teacher at our school, you will have access to further training within your role internally and part of our academy trust. Our Senior Leadership Team, Special Educational Needs team, and Pastoral team are always ready to listen and support you with your job.

Willowcroft Community School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Therefore, all candidates will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and references will be required in line with our safeguarding policy.

If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want to be part of a supportive and motivated team, we would love to hear from you

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
