What you’ll do:
Engage with colleagues, managers and leaders as the first point of contact on resolving people related queries and program related questions Understand all Human Resources related policies, programs, and their intersection with provincial and federal legislation, corporate policy and collective agreements to provide guidance and advice on interpretation and implementation Utilize Postmedia’s Human Resources Information System: Dayforce in support of all aspects of managing the employee life cycle (talent acquisition, onboarding, leave management, talent management), reporting and analytics. Educate and advise management on various HR technical, process and compliance aspects Facilitate the disability claims management, accommodation and return to work processes (Medical leaves, STD, LTD, Workplace injuries) with employees, managers, and union leaders. Ensure and champion employee safety by supporting and managing Health and Safety program participation and compliance Contribute to continuous process improvement, automation to increase departmental efficiency Assist with employee documentation; maintain information integrity and execute proper record keeping practices in HRIS and the filing system Collaborate with the HR team on strategic projects and act as backup to HR Administration team where required. Who you are:
Degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field or commensurate experience 3 - 4 years’ demonstrated experience in Human Resources with exposure to talent acquisition, talent and/or disability management, labour relations and/or HR operations in a national organization. Demonstrated experience navigating HRIS systems, Dayforce HCM experience is an asset Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Able to present information to colleagues and leadership professionally. Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently or in a team environment Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional and ethical manner Strong computer proficiency, including Outlook, Word, and Excel Must be authorized to legally work in Canada Bilingualism in English/French would be an asset
Compensation: Employment offers presented to the selected candidate are based on a combination of qualifications, experience, responsibilities of the role and the candidate's location. Base Salary: $60,000 - $75,000
