The posting

As a Regional Field Organizer, you’ll build relationships with supporters, volunteers, voters, community partners, and advocates throughout your assigned region. This is hands-on organizing work. You’ll spend time both developing long-term relationships and mobilizing people when action is needed. On a typical week, you might:

Recruit, train, and lead volunteers and advocates Build relationships with community members, supporters, voters, and grassroots partners Organize voter engagement and community mobilization efforts Lead phone banks, canvasses, rallies, visibility events, tabling, grassroots lobbying, and other field activities Mobilize supporters around local, state, and federal policy priorities Collaborate with coalition partners on reproductive health, reproductive justice, and cross-movement work Grow PPAO’s supporter base through community outreach and constituency organizing Help develop volunteers into leaders who can organize and mobilize others Maintain accurate supporter and organizing data Respond quickly when political or community developments require rapid mobilization

The current JD puts the greatest emphasis on volunteer leadership and grassroots relationship-building (50%), followed by voter engagement and mobilization work (30%), so I’d intentionally keep those at the center of the posting rather than making this sound like a generic political office job. Schedule & Location This is a full-time, hybrid position (40 hours/week) serving the Salem/Eugene region and surrounding communities. Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, generally 9:30am–6:00pm, with flexibility required for evening and weekend organizing activities, events, and other community-based work. Where You’ll Work This position may be based out of either:

PPCW’s Salem location, or PPSO’s Franklin office in Eugene, Oregon

Your assigned office will be determined based on your home location. The position follows a hybrid schedule with two days per week working from your assigned office, with other work performed remotely or in the community based on organizing needs. Remote work must be performed within Oregon or Washington. This is a field-based organizing position, so regular travel throughout the assigned region is an essential part of the job. The JD anticipates frequent travel within the region, along with occasional travel elsewhere in Oregon and infrequent national travel. A valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required. Bilingual Spanish preferred. What We’re Looking For We know organizers develop their skills in lots of different ways—including through paid work, campaigns, advocacy, volunteering, and community organizing. We encourage you to apply if your experience has prepared you to mobilize people and build community power. Required

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent At least 1 year of organizing, advocacy, or related volunteer experience Understanding of local, state, and federal legislative and political systems Experience engaging volunteers, including comfort with outreach and “cold calling” for volunteer recruitment, voter education, and supporter mobilization Experience recruiting and growing an active volunteer or supporter base Ability to inspire and mobilize people around reproductive health and rights Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines Experience and understanding of racial equity and working collaboratively with communities of color and/or immigrant communities Commitment to creating organizing spaces where BIPOC, LGBTQ+ people, and other historically marginalized communities can participate, lead, and thrive Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

These are pulled from the actual required qualifications in the February 2026 JD rather than treating its preferred qualifications as screening requirements. Nice to Have

Knowledge of grassroots organizing strategies, tactics, and tools Experience with VAN, EveryAction, Hustle, or similar organizing platforms BA/BS in a related field or comparable professional experience Spanish language skills or other language skills commonly used within PPAO’s service areas

Pay $52,910–$77,080 annually Pay is based on experience and internal equity. Additional Pay Opportunity Employees whose bilingual skills are verified and used to support community outreach, engagement, and organizing may be eligible for bilingual premium pay.  Benefits & Support We offer a benefits package that supports your health, stability, and growth:

Paid time off (up to 4 weeks, increases over time) 9 paid holidays Medical, dental, and vision insurance for eligible employees 403(b) retirement plan with employer matching contributions Free, confidential counseling and support (EAP) Ongoing professional development and learning opportunities

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
