Product Designer-Mechanical   The position of Product Designer – Mechanical offers dynamic challenges in designing HVAC system components.  We are looking for an individual who is technically inclined and is interested in developing design skills to meet industry needs.      The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

Designing and testing HVAC equipment and systems according to client specifications and industry standards using SolidWorks and other software tools. Performing calculations, simulations, and analysis of HVAC systems to optimize performance, efficiency, cost, and manufacturability. Preparing technical reports, drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and manufacturing documentation for HVAC projects. Collaborating with manufacturing teams, other engineers, designers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful delivery of HVAC solutions. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues or problems related to HVAC systems. Providing service support to our existing clients by responding to their inquiries, requests, and feedback in a timely and professional manner. Staying updated on the latest trends and developments in HVAC technology and engineering.

The ideal candidate for this position will have: 

Graduated from a Mechanical Engineering degree or Technology program. Knowledge of the mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards, manufacturing, and testing related to the HVAC industry, including electrical and controls would be considered an asset. Application knowledge of international standards used in sustainable building design and the technical air distribution technologies used in green building design would be considered an asset. A strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, project management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. A proficiency in using SolidWorks and other engineering tools. Previous experience with sheet metal manufacturing processes is considered an asset. MRP or ERP experience is considered an asset. The ability to travel throughout North America.
