Job Overview:

The Coordinator I Buyer plays a crucial role in supporting the procurement department by assisting with purchasing activities, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations.

Job Responsibilities: * Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. * Communicate with vendors regarding order status, delivery schedules, and product information. * Maintain and update vendor databases and purchasing records. * Support the negotiation of favorable pricing and terms with suppliers. * Track inventory levels and assist with replenishment orders to prevent stockouts. * Resolve discrepancies with invoices, orders, and deliveries in a timely manner. * Collaborate with project managers and other departments to understand material needs. * Assist in identifying and evaluating new suppliers to improve cost-effectiveness and quality. * Prepare reports on purchasing activities, vendor performance, and cost savings. * Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field preferred. * 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or administrative support role, preferably within the construction or engineering industry. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Basic understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles. * Experience with ERP or purchasing software is a plus.
