About Prodigal

Prodigal is the connected AI platform leading financial institutions use to run their operations.

We work with banks, lenders, credit unions, and other financial companies that lend money to people and manage those relationships over time.

These institutions make millions of high-stakes decisions every day. Who should they reach? When should they reach them? What should they say or offer? When should a case move to a human? How should that change based on the borrower, the account, previous interactions, and the regulations involved?

Getting those decisions right requires a deep understanding of the people, processes, rules, and edge cases behind them.

Prodigal has spent the last eight years building that understanding. More than a billion interactions between financial institutions and their customers have shaped the intelligence, guardrails, and AI agents we now run in production across North America.

Today, our AI agents analyze conversations, capture context, guide human agents, decide the next action, conduct customer conversations, orchestrate outreach, and help people complete payments and resolutions. They are connected, so what is learned in one interaction can inform what happens next.

We are expanding this swarm of AI agents across more of the work financial institutions do: originations, document processing, back-office workflows, servicing, and other critical operations where money, identity, people, and regulation intersect.

We are backed by Y Combinator, Accel, and Menlo Ventures, and work with 100+ financial institutions across North America. Listen directly from our CTO, Cofounder - Sangram Raje

About The Team

You’ll join Prodigal’s Strategy & Operations team, the consulting arm of the company. We partner with creditors in consumer finance (Banks, NBFCs & BNPLs and debt collection agencies) to transform how they engage with consumers using data-driven insights and AI-powered workflows. The team sits at the intersection of product, data science, and client operations: designing strategy, building execution pipelines, and running experiments that deliver measurable lifts in recoveries and channel performance.

Role Overview

As a Strategy & Operations Analyst, you will work with the team to execute and scale high-impact strategies and initiatives for clients. You’ll both build and scale: owning live AI based strategies, testing new ideas, identifying and solving client challenges, and driving strategic initiatives.

This is beyond a traditional consulting role where impact ends at strategic recommendations. Here, you will own strategies end-to-end, from design to live execution. You’ll have visibility over their direct, measurable impact on real business outcomes. You’ll operate in a high-growth environment with accelerated learning, full ownership, and continuous exposure to CXOs. The role also offers periodic travel to the US for client meetings and industry conferences, giving you on-ground global exposure.

This role is designed as a fast-growth pathway into a Strategy & Operations Lead position, based on performance, learning velocity, and leadership readiness.

Mode of work - 5 days in office

What makes you a good fit?

You enjoy solving real-world problems and taking full ownership of outcomes, not just analyses. You combine structured thinking with execution discipline and are comfortable working in fast-moving, client-facing environments. You’re motivated by measurable impact, continuous learning, and early responsibility.

Responsibilities

Strategy:

  • Act as a strategic advisor and industry expert to the CXOs of the customers you manage. They will rely on you for advice on what’s best for their business
  • Own end-to-end engagement strategy, defining strategies to drive improvements in collections & recoveries, self-serve usage, and consumer experience
  • Design structured experimentation frameworks by crafting hypotheses, choosing success metrics, and analyzing results to continuously refine strategy and inform scalable best practices
  • Partner with data science teams to shape and operationalize models (e.g., channel affinity, right-time-to-contact, offer logic), ensuring strategies correctly leverage behavioral patterns

Analytics and Operations:

  • Develop insightful, scalable reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics and proactively track deviations, trends, and anomalies
  • Lead the execution and monitoring of A/B tests to measure product improvements and optimize service delivery
  • Continuously improve underlying processes and systems by designing structured experiments, analyzing results, and translating learnings into scalable improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics or a related field (Tier 1 college from 2025 batch preferred)
  • Deep interest in consulting or product management
  • Relevant data analytics experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, Python, SQL, and Tableau/other BI tools is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to clearly present findings to stakeholders and team members

Evaluation Process :

  • Round 1 Intro and communication (15 minutes) Problem/puzzle solving (30 minutes) Case study (60 minutes)
  • Round 2 Culture fit (20 minutes)
  • Final Shortlist/Offer announcement

Job Benefits:

  • World-class team - You'll get the chance to learn from (and teach) some of the brightest and most skilled people you'll ever meet. Our team members have been part of BCG, Deloitte, EY, Blackstone, Meta, Amazon and are IIT, IIM, BITS alumnus.
  • Continuous education - As relentless seekers of knowledge, we sponsor and support any training materials, books, courses, and exam fees for upskilling yourself in areas related to your role - but that's not where it ends. If you make a good case for some extra learning, we're delighted to foot the tab.
  • Food at the office – Meals are on us. We won't let your stomach grumble while you hustle.
  • Health insurance - Health always comes first. The health of your family is as important to us, as it is to you. We offer insurance coverage for both you and your family.
  • Flexible schedule - We're not a "clock in, clock out" company. Morning person? Start work while the world's still sleeping. Night owl? Ramp things up while others are winding down. You're fully trusted to create the right conditions for your own personal peak productivity. We only ask that you be available to your teammates for seamless collaboration.
  • Generous leave policy - Take all the time you need to recharge your batteries - no cap on vacation allowance here. Because a rested, relaxed, and refreshed mind is a happy and effective mind.
  • Recreation & team activities – We regularly indulge in friendly football, table tennis, cooking sessions and challenge each other to do those extra push ups or chug that 4th drink (of course that’s Nimbu Pani)

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
