The posting

SUMMARY Supervises and coordinates the activities of Lockbox Clerical Worker under the direction of the Supervisor. Must have knowledge of all department systems equipment. Banking and accounting experience is a MUST.   Key Responsibilities:   · Must have thorough knowledge of all department equipment including Trans. Remittance Processors, OPS (mail opening processor), Image Scanner Processor and all PC equipment. · Prepare work schedules to expedite workflow by examining daily production logs to determine resource utilization. · Monitor all work performance of Lockbox for accuracy and true productivity in compliance to that of the contract · Coordinate and control the flow of correspondence. · Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates. · Check all processed work being transmitted for accuracy through batch control. · Make sure all payments received are secured in the Lockbox area and that currency is placed in the safe. · Participate in the training of new staff members · Work under the direction of the Supervisor and perform some of the duties in his or her absence.   QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   · Ability to motivate people · Good spoken and written communication skills · Good 'people skills' for building relationships with colleagues at all levels · Ability to plan and prioritize your own work and other people's · Understanding of computer systems and workflow of department · Decision-making ability · Accuracy with record keeping   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE   · Associate's degree · A minimum of 2 -3 years of experience · Leadership experience in a financial payment processing environment   LANGUAGE SKILLS   · Ability to read, analyze, and interpret internal business documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulations   MATHEMATICAL SKILLS   · Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and volumes   REASONING ABILITY   · Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists · Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form   PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
