About the role

We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven Sales & Partnerships Manager to grow our Encore business across the UAE and wider GCC.

This is a hands-on B2B sales role focused on turning opportunities into signed commercial partnerships.

Working alongside our lead generation and marketing teams, you will take opportunities from initial discovery through commercial discussions, solution development, negotiation, and agreement. You will also develop opportunities through your own industry relationships and targeted prospecting.

We are looking for someone with proven sales experience, strong relationship-building and closing skills, and the ability to understand technology, develop persuasive commercial proposals, and overcome objections.

Relevant experience may come from enterprise payments, e-commerce technology, digital agency business development, publisher monetisation, retail media, or commercial partnerships. What matters most is your ability to build relationships, identify opportunities, develop compelling solutions, and close deals.

Key responsibilities

Business development and deal conversion

  • Take ownership of qualified sales opportunities, progressing them from initial meetings through to signed commercial agreements.
  • Lead discovery discussions to understand each prospect's business model, transaction volumes, customer journeys, commercial objectives, and decision-making process.
  • Present the Encore proposition clearly and persuasively, tailoring the commercial opportunity to each prospect.
  • Develop compelling business cases, revenue projections, sales presentations, and commercial proposals.
  • Manage commercial negotiations, address objections, secure stakeholder alignment, and drive agreements to completion.
  • Build relationships with senior commercial, e-commerce, digital, partnerships, and technology stakeholders.
  • Develop additional opportunities through personal networks, referrals, existing relationships, and targeted direct prospecting.

Pipeline management and execution

  • Maintain an active, well-qualified sales pipeline, with clear next steps and realistic close dates.
  • Proactively follow up with prospects, overcome obstacles, and maintain momentum through the sales process.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity records, transaction estimates, commercial forecasts, and deal stages in our CRM.
  • Prioritise opportunities based on commercial potential, likelihood of conversion, and speed to implementation.
  • Coordinate with legal, operations, and technical teams to progress agreements and ensure a smooth handover for implementation.
  • Provide regular pipeline updates, identify potential blockers, and contribute to sales forecasting.

Collaboration and market development

  • Work closely with the lead generation and marketing teams to convert opportunities generated through outbound prospecting, campaigns, events, and inbound enquiries.
  • Contribute industry knowledge and relationships to help identify attractive market segments and new business opportunities.
  • Share feedback on prospect objections, competitive positioning, sales messaging, and opportunities to improve conversion rates and shorten the sales cycle.
  • Contribute to the development of larger or more complex commercial partnerships, working with senior management where appropriate.

Solution development and technical understanding

  • Understand the Encore product and how it integrates into checkout, payment, confirmation, and other digital customer journeys.
  • Work with internal product and technical teams to identify suitable placements and integration approaches for prospective partners.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear commercial benefits and practical solutions for customers.
  • Coordinate the development of illustrative layouts and other materials that help prospects visualise the opportunity.
  • Confidently address questions relating to customer experience, integration requirements, brand suitability, and commercial performance.
  • Identify potential technical or operational obstacles early and work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve them.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of relevant B2B sales, business development, or commercial partnerships experience, ideally selling technology, payment solutions, or commercial services to e-commerce businesses, digital platforms, or major consumer-facing organisations.
  • A proven track record of personally managing and closing commercial deals, from discovery and proposals through negotiation and signed agreements.
  • Strong consultative and solution-selling skills, with the ability to understand customer requirements and develop compelling commercial propositions.
  • A good understanding of e-commerce operations, online payments, checkout journeys, and the commercial priorities of digital businesses.
  • Commercial confidence and credibility when engaging senior decision-makers and navigating multiple stakeholders.
  • Good technical aptitude and the ability to understand and explain digital integrations and platform capabilities.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including the ability to work with transaction volumes, revenue models, and performance forecasts.
  • Highly organised and persistent, with a disciplined approach to CRM management, follow-up, and deal progression.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Arabic language skills are a strong advantage.
  • Based in the UAE and legally eligible to work.

Particularly valuable experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage:

  • E-commerce technology, checkout solutions, commerce platforms, or merchant-focused SaaS.
  • Business development or commercial partnerships within digital, e-commerce, or marketing agencies, including winning new business and developing tailored client solutions.
  • Payment gateways, merchant acquiring, or payment technology solutions, particularly enterprise merchant sales.
  • Publisher monetization, retail media, affiliate publisher partnerships, or performance-based marketing solutions.
  • Commercial partnerships with major retailers, online marketplaces, travel and booking platforms, or digital service providers.
  • An established network of senior commercial, e-commerce, and digital decision-makers within the UAE or wider GCC.

How success will be measured

Success in this role will be measured primarily by your ability to convert opportunities into valuable, signed commercial partnerships.

Key performance indicators will include:

  • New commercial partnership agreements successfully signed.
  • Transaction volumes and commercial revenue potential secured.
  • Conversion rates from qualified opportunities to signed agreements.
  • Sales pipeline progression, forecast accuracy, and time to close.
  • Quality of implementation handover and collaboration with internal teams.

What we offer

  • Competitive base salary and performance-based commission.
  • An opportunity to help scale an innovative digital monetisation platform across the GCC.
  • Exposure to leading businesses across payments, e-commerce, travel, retail, and digital services.
  • Close collaboration with experienced commercial, product, and technology teams.
  • A hands-on role with significant ownership, autonomy, and opportunities for career growth.

How to apply

If you have a track record of closing commercial partnerships, understand the e-commerce industry, and enjoy translating technology into business value, we would love to hear from you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
