The Opportunity

As an AML and Sanctions - Data & Analytics Associate you will support work in data and analytics within our Risk & Regulatory practice, with a focus on business intelligence that helps clients use data to inform decisions and improve operating results. As an Associate you will develop your skills by contributing to project tasks, learning from more senior team members, adapting to varied client needs, and taking ownership of work that supports quality delivery and your own professional growth. In this role at PwC, you will gather and interpret information from multiple sources, recognize patterns, communicate clearly, and apply professional and technical standards while building commercial awareness in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Analyzing AML and sanctions data to identify trends, exceptions, and patterns that support client decision-making - Supporting the development of dashboards, recurring reports, and data visualizations for monitoring and issue tracking - Collecting, cleaning, and reconciling data from multiple sources to improve completeness and consistency - Applying Python and analytics tools to organize datasets, automate repeatable tasks, and support process improvement - Translating business questions into clear analytical outputs that help teams understand AML and sanctions activity - Documenting data logic, assumptions, and procedures used in reporting and analysis - Collaborating across project teams to gather requirements, validate findings, and adjust outputs based on feedback - Learning and applying Firm and regulatory standards while contributing to client support tasks in a banking environment

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree - At least 1 years of experience

What Sets You Apart

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Analytics/Data Science, Biology/Biomedical Sciences, Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Financial Mathematics/Quantitative Finance, Health Administration/Public Health, Mathematics/Statistics, Operations/Supply Chain, Project/Technology Management, Risk Management/Insurance, Science - Demonstrating coursework in data analysis, statistics, or business intelligence - Applying Python, SQL, or analytics tools in academic or project settings - Gathering and interpreting data from multiple sources for pattern recognition - Communicating findings clearly to varied teams and stakeholders - Showing curiosity, adaptability, and ownership in fast-paced settings

The salary range for this position is: $61,000 - $100,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
