About the Job: Practice Lead – Executive Search & Business Development

Job Summary / About the Job

At Q2 HR Solutions, we are looking for a highly driven Practice Lead – Executive Search & Business Development to lead the growth of our Executive Search practice. This role is responsible for developing strategic client partnerships, winning new business, and delivering executive search solutions for leadership and critical hiring needs. The ideal candidate is a commercially driven recruitment leader with a proven track record in executive search, client acquisition, and consultative selling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the Executive Search practice.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure executive search engagements across target industries.
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives, founders, HR leaders, and key decision-makers.
  • Lead client presentations, capability pitches, proposals, and commercial negotiations.
  • Manage end-to-end executive search assignments from client briefing to successful placement.
  • Conduct market mapping, talent intelligence, and executive candidate assessments.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on leadership hiring, succession planning, and talent market trends.
  • Expand existing client accounts by identifying additional recruitment and consulting opportunities.
  • Mentor and support Executive Search Consultants and Researchers.
  • Represent Q2 HR Solutions at networking events, conferences, and industry engagements.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.

Experience

  • 8–12 years of experience in Executive Search, Recruitment Consulting, Talent Acquisition, or Professional Services.
  • Proven track record in business development, client acquisition, and revenue generation.
  • Experience managing executive search assignments for Director, VP, C-suite, and senior leadership positions.
  • Strong network among business leaders, HR executives, or industry decision-makers is an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Strong executive search and market mapping expertise.
  • Excellent consultative selling and business development skills.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and executive sourcing tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Other Skills

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management abilities.
  • Ability to lead multiple executive search engagements simultaneously.
