About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Quality Management Head to lead quality management, process improvement, and operational excellence initiatives across the organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective quality management systems, ensuring compliance with established standards, improving business processes, and driving continuous improvement across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, SOPs, and quality documentation are properly maintained and implemented.
  • Monitor compliance with quality standards, internal policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Lead periodic reviews and updates of quality manuals, procedures, and process documentation.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and standardize business processes.
  • Lead process mapping, workflow analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions based on audit findings and operational assessments.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of process improvements and quality performance indicators.

Risk Management & Internal Audits

  • Identify operational risks and potential gaps in quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor corrective and preventive actions to ensure sustainable improvements.

Training & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Develop and conduct QMS training and quality awareness programs.
  • Guide employees and process owners on quality standards, documentation, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Partner with Operations, HR, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, and Store Operations to ensure consistent quality standards.
  • Support new business initiatives, store openings, and operational projects through effective QMS implementation.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Management team.
  • Establish departmental objectives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, process excellence, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in Quality Management, Process Excellence, or Business Process Management.
  • At least 3 years of managerial or leadership experience.
  • Experience in retail, distribution, construction materials, or home improvement industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Business Process Management (BPM), and internal quality auditing.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma.
  • Experience in process mapping, risk management, process documentation, and operational performance monitoring.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Philippine regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to retail operations.
