We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to turn complex data into actionable business insights. Working closely with business stakeholders and data engineering teams, you will lead analytical projects, uncover trends and opportunities, and develop impactful dashboards and visualisations to support data-driven decision-making.

This role is ideal for someone with strong SQL and data visualisation skills, sound business acumen, and the ability to translate complex findings into compelling data stories that drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, business opportunities, risks, and performance drivers.
  • Design, develop, and enhance dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
  • Define and maintain consistent business metrics, analytical logic, and reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to define data requirements, support data pipeline development, and validate data quality.
  • Independently deliver analytics projects that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Ensure analytics solutions comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and data governance standards.
  • Proactively identify risks, stay updated on industry developments, and promote best practices in risk management and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related projects.
  • Strong SQL programming skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • At least 5 years of experience with data visualisation tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and communicate findings effectively.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and requirements-gathering skills, with the ability to influence business decisions through data.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver projects within deadlines.
  • Experience in banking, insurance, or financial services is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Python is an added advantage.
  • Proactive, adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement.
