Job Description:

Department Overview

This department drives business growth by focusing on the operations of Rakuten Mobile shops nationwide and creating customer engagement opportunities through physical retail channels. Each store serves not merely as a place to acquire new subscribers, but as a frontline customer touchpoint that provides a wide range of Rakuten Group services, including telecommunications, financial services, and e-commerce, thereby enhancing the brand experience and supporting business expansion.

Within the department, members with diverse areas of expertise collaborate to drive business growth, ranging from developing and expanding sales channels through major electronics retailers to establishing operational frameworks that support store management and promoting cross-group business initiatives across Rakuten Group.

Position:

Why We Hire

With the expansion of the Rakuten Mobile shop business, there is a growing need to strengthen headquarters functions that support business growth driven by stores. We are broadly recruiting experienced professionals who can make an immediate contribution across a variety of areas, including standardizing business processes, promoting cross-functional initiatives that leverage Rakuten Group assets, establishing back-office functions to support the sales organization, and expanding sales channels through major electronics retailers.

Position Details

Depending on your experience and strengths, you will take on one of the following roles. Your specific assignment will be determined through the selection process.

・Business Development and Promotion

This position is responsible for planning and driving cross-functional initiatives in collaboration with Rakuten Group services, including financial services, e-commerce, and digital content, as well as managing business growth projects originating from retail stores. You will lead initiatives end to end, from initial planning and development through effectiveness evaluation.

・Business Operations Planning and Promotion

This position is responsible for designing and standardizing business processes that support store operations nationwide, as well as promoting cross-departmental initiatives based on KPI monitoring. By understanding the needs of both frontline operations and headquarters, you will help establish a robust operational foundation and drive the implementation of business initiatives.

・Sales Support

This position is responsible for operational management, data aggregation, and management support to enhance the overall productivity of the sales organization. Through accurate and timely execution, you will help create an environment in which frontline teams can carry out their duties smoothly and efficiently.

・Major Retailer Sales

This position drives sales channel expansion and maximizes sales performance at partner stores for Rakuten Mobile. Starting with negotiations and relationship building with headquarters representatives at major electronics retailers, you will lead the entire process, from reaching agreements on sales targets, promotions, and product display strategies to providing support at individual stores.

*Even if your experience in the above areas is limited, we welcome applications from second-career graduates (generally those with approximately three years or less of professional experience), placing particular emphasis on motivation and potential.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
